True, it was exactly the same situation except Superman always breaks the rules of nature so you just got to shrug your shoulders and say fuck it. But I actually loved this episode besides that lame instance, Lana’s reveal proves to me that this is probably the last season… at least for the lame Clark/Lana romance. Millian’s ass in those jeans just made me love it all the more.
I just explained the whole thing away, think of Clark as a super-powered, super-reflexive COIL SPRING, when he lands he just absorbs all the destructive force and pushes it back down before it reaches Lana’s body – much like a super-spring!
maybe this has been said so long ago, but why isn’t lana a meteor freak? she had that kryptonite necklace for YEARS and nothing’s happened to her. dude walks down a street, sees some kryptonite next to him and bam! instant powers.
oh that’s another thing…I’m sure this Lana we see currently isn’t the real one. Remember the clones from a few episodes ago; there was the revelation that Lex apparently had extra “copies” of Lana. I think there was even a preview/commercial that posed the question of this one not being the real Lana. We may have seen at least 2 already; Clark’s Lana may have truly not known what was up when Lionel confronted her about being kidnapped. Shovel-Smackdown? Lana could’ve been another version. I’m pretty sure the one currently shacked up with Clark isn’t the original real deal.
I enjoyed last nights show and is more than likely the best one I’ve seen for this new season.
Plus, it was great seeing Helen Slater again.
Ah, Helen Slater. She did the voice of Talia al Ghoul on Batman TAS and she was Supergirl in the movie of the same name back in the '80s. I love how Smallvillie pays all sorts of homage to other Superman media. How about we have Dana Delay, Tim Daly, Greg Newbern or Kevin Conroy on an ep of Smallville somtime? That would be so much win.
Anyway, Helen Slater still looks beautiful after all these years. She was the perfect woman to play Clark’s biological mother.
Kara is moving in on Jimmy. Chole done messed up. If she’d have just told James the truth about herself, he’d have understood. All those times Chole rode Clark about being honest and she didn’t come clean when she needed to.
So Clark’s got Kara’s crystal, which has his mother’s DNA. Just what is Clark planning to do with it?
Ms. Vandervoort there was smoking hot in this episode. You just know that Geek Squad-looking dude busted on himself in record time. Chloe is still my #1 so far though. Lana is also looking better these days. I’d really enjoy seeing her in a hardcore sexual situation…I want to see her in some rough, raw throws of passion, yelling and cursing from having that poosay ravaged. She’s just always so dainty and “proper” and all that…I want to see her at her peak of raw, primal sexual pleasure. I’d pay to see her getting fucked so hard, she starts acting like an animal. It’s the contrast of these imagined situations and the way she normally carries herself…it’s that contrast that’s so compelling to me at the moment. Heh, I got a bit carried away there…
