Just wanting to note that xbone’s sales numbers are worldwide while ps4’s were just North American sales so far.
holy shit the bone is the same size as my older comcast motorola receiver, Damn!!
dat mug bigger than his scrawny ass
Anybody figure out a solution for mounting the Kinect 2 on your LCD yet?
pdp is selling a stand for it next month.
Didn’t Microsoft include $20 worth of credit with Xbox One consoles, or am I remembering that wrong?
that’s fucking shameful if truth. and would be even worse if m$ doesn’t offer a recall for all xbonez.
So, how are you guys that bought an Xbox One feeling about it? Would you recommend it?
KI is an honest fun fighter, not happy that I had a scratch on my xbox one but its running really great. Very fast bootup time. Great online. I would recommend it for KI only, haven’t tried the other games yet but i dont see myself playing those shitty games for awhile. Titan fall will probably be the game i’ll put in a disc.
I watched a guy beat Ryse. Had its moments but it definitely has its flaws. Not something that looks like it was in development for 6-7 years.
Forza is okay, but I find it difficult to gauge the graphic quality of driving sims. Those cinematics are insane though.
I saw a guy look like a total scrub in practice mode on KI, then go online and bust out 10+ combos and looked mad decent, so… I don’t even know how to gauge that shit either. And also, the full roster won’t be accessible until next year anyway so the current game is mostly a tease.
DR3 by far looks like the most fun game out of the whole bunch. Wasn’t expecting the game world to be so open.
Kinect has potential. A lot of people don’t seem to take the time to actually learn the voice commands, so they make it seem a lot less helpful and responsive than it is.
I actually prefer the PS4 menu UI a bit more, especially with the bgm it has. I was a never a big fan of the Windows 8 look. I saw side-by-side tests of both consoles and the X1 booted up much faster. And considering that it’s basically Windows, not much of a shock that people have hacked it already.
The two biggest cons for me right now is the inability to place the system vertically and the delay of the built-in live streaming with Twitch. I’m most interested in how the latter compares to the Twitch streaming already on PS4, and also the TV features with the HDMI passthrough.
For sure. More interesting launch line up, the whole 1080p thing is overrated considering we played all of our last gen games in 720p and could see them just fine then. Only got KI and Crimson Dragon but they’re both great games for cheap and am going to be playing them more than I would have any of the disc games on the PS4 or Xbox One. I know more people could vouch for this, but most of the people who bought Xbox Ones that post on SRK don’t post in GD. It seems GD is just a lot of Sony people.
As far as the system itself, it’s pretty big but definitely prefer the design over the fatty PS3. It’s sleek but doesn’t’ try to make itself too obvious that it’s there to play games. The system is extremely quiet and boots up super fast. Especially if you turn it off real quick and turn it back on while it’s in standby. Messed with some of the Kinect features and the Kinect Sports Rivals demo. Kinect requires you to be pretty precise and you have to speak up, but as long as you do that it works pretty well. I’m sure they’ll optimize it in the future so not worried about that too much. Kinect Sports Rivals I didn’t really get to try more than once, but it felt responsive enough even while I was sitting down. Hopefully devs can work to make something that will make hardcore gamers get interested in the Kinect. I’m sure someone will be creative enough.
Controller is a lot better than the last one. The vibrators in the triggers is pretty cool. Everything else is much better than the old pad except for the left and right buttons. They’re probably durable but to compensate are extremely hard to push in and basically useless for any rapid press type situations.
Overall though really happy with the whole thing and it seems that after all of the E3 and Launch BS, it sold pretty well worldwide. With Evo being on Xbox I really hope KI gets the shot it deserves at Evo. 60 dollars for shitty netcode and unnecessary balance changes to balance needs to go. The whole LoL style Ecosystem concept is great for fighting games also and I really see it taking off and bringing new blood into the scene.
everyone add me - Monkey King X
help me make this console fun LOL
you havent tried the other games yet you’re calling them shitty
Yes
I heard someone say there’s some Flash support in the PS4 browser (they watched Flash videos on sites with it). IE on X1 still doesn’t have that.
Interesting if true.
I am very fortunate that my XB1 has given me no problems. So far so good, BF4 is visually stunning on an HDTV. Dont really see the big deal of being able to watch TV through your xbox… Id be afraid of it overheating honestly.
If the IE app on the XB1 is the same as W8 then it’s not surprising.
I’ll have to try the TV thing at one point too. Not super pressed to do that yet since I don’t watch TV much, but I’ll cheggit.
The smartglass thing is pretty cool. Never used it with the 360, but it makes messaging friends and players online much easier. No more having to use the pad to do that and being able to switch between playing KI and my home screen on the One from my laptop is pretty sweet. Whenever I get a good enough phone I’ll have to try it on the phone also.
