Oh man, it’s good times based on all the shit you can do. Interactivity and creativity out the ass in that game.
Should have taken the free DR2 to have a taste of the greatness. Not losing anything but your time, and even then, you’re not losing out on time if you ended up enjoying the game.

Also were achievement whores.
Dead Rising games are terrible if you’re an achievement/trophy whore. Too many “grindy” and time-consuming achievements in those games, shit’s ridiculous.

The power of the cloud!
Microsoft has announced the Xbox One will require cloud updates on a regular basis, which could lead to the system rebooting without warning.
That’s according to Xbox Live lead program manager John Bruno, who made the revelation during a presentation at GDC Next yesterday (via IGameReponsibly). Bruno explained that while work has been done to try and prevent the system rebooting in the middle of a game, Microsoft hasn’t managed to eliminate the issue entirely.
“Once in a while, rather frequently actually, the host OS will require an update, meaning the physical machine is going to get rebooted whether your code is running or not,” he explained. “That’s a problematic thing for a game, and oftentimes it’s in the middle of a multiplayer session. We’ve worked very hard to overcome that, but that’s not to say it’s going to be a reality in every case.”

@Rcaido Since you’re such a rich ass cheapskate, more free stuff (check your email if you’ve had Xbox Live for about a decade).

Supposedly word is out that in other countries outside of the US, they will be getting different games for free. In some areas some people are supposedly getting emails telling them MS will be sending them THE SYSTEM for free.
man ms is looking dumber daily.
ki being a system seller is beyond retarded, theres tons of new and better fighters out on current gen. ki has to be the dumbest reason to buy a new system.
and guy is right, hype whores are fucking retards.
Damn, I’ve had XBL for 10 years, all they ever gave me was a helmet for my Avatar lol.

If I had surround sound I’d day one KI and Xbone. The details in the game are awesome. From what I played I’d call it a show piece title.

Well i stop playing video games when PS2/Xbox came out so i haven’t done the XBL for 10years.
Even though, i want my money to go to KI. $20 is more then reasonable. I would pay the full amount of $60 if that’s how much they were charging. I just dont like to pay for things like a Madcatz premium stick for $400 & another live code for $60 if already have it/can avoid it.
So you would get an xbone and ki just because KI looks and sounds pretty? Are you american?

Maybe they’ll let us dismiss the reboot like with Windows
I’m sure they’ll iron things out before then. It would be utter lunacy otherwise.
Also, good on MS giving away KI to loyal customers. Can’t complain about getting free shit.

ryse is getting ripped.
I’m hoping that later levels introduce some more difficult enemies, as the dozens of encounters I had consisted of all the complexity of dialing phone numbers. … It’s so basic and predictable, I began testing to see if I could get past most combat situations with one hand. With my left hand completely off the controller, I was able to slice and dice through tons of enemies simply by inputting the same sequence ad nauseum. On a couple of occasions, the game would shift to sequences that involved me defending an area with crossbow stations or ordering my men to block arrows with their shields. These were somehow even less exciting than the tedious swordplay. … When I sat down at the Ryse: Son of Rome station, I was a fairly blank slate when it came to knowledge of the title. I knew it was developed by the talented team at Crytek, and I knew it was gorgeous based on the videos I had seen at conventions, so I was prepared to be impressed. What I didn’t expect was a desire to get up and leave the demo about ten minutes in. I stuck it out in hopes that it would prove itself a deeper experience over time, but its only success was ensuring my wallet will be $60 heavier when the Xbox One launches.
Violence is treated with such a casual tone, I found during my two hours sampling a near-final version of the game at Microsoft’s Xbox One showcase in San Francisco last week, that it seeps into every corner of Ryse, dulling the impact of all conflict and narrative. Why should I mourn the death of a story character after I just killed 412 barbarians in the last 20 minutes? … Ryse: Son of Rome feels like all sizzle and no steak. It’s a procession of CPU-controlled warriors lining up to fall on protagonist Marius’ sword in a stylish slow-mo ballet of blood and dismemberment. Killing enemies feels less and less triumphant with each strike, which is kind of a problem when the main focus of the game is seeing just how high you can stack the corpses. … Unlike Batman, however, Ryse doesn’t give Marius that many moves or gadgets to employ. He has his sword for light and heavy attacks, his shield for blocking and deflecting incoming blows, his pilums (Roman javelins) that he can toss at will and that’s it. Eventually Marius can unlock double executions to take out multiple enemies at once, but the entirety of what I sampled offered no hope for any kind of variety later in the game. It’s sword, shield and centurion against the world. … After jumping through a few levels in the campaign, I grew tired of the gameplay loop of moving from area to area in order to kill the next group of barbarians. Ryse never hit a good stride and, in my brief amount of time with it, was all too content to beat me into submission through combat sequences repeated ad nauseam. The game offered little hope its campaign is intent on presenting anything to the contrary.
Swinging a sword to engage any enemy feels like any hack-and-slash, though the hits feel slower and more deliberate. Slow bordering on clunky, really. Ryse kicks off with a combat tutorial that encourages blocking incoming attacks with a shield, and then returning with your own hits when the attacker has been properly deflected. It’s not the deepest combat system, but it’s effective and it feels decent. … My problem with Ryse is that the battle system is not fully matched to the wave-based hack-and-slash gameplay. It’s a swing and a miss, if you will. As elements of the combat system are introduced, it’s fun to try them out and eventually implement them, but the fun only lasts for so long. … My main problem is that there is really one way to engage an enemy (run up and slash at them), and really only one way to finish them off. To be clear, the finishing sequence is not optional. You can choose not to press the prompted buttons, but if you engage the enemy at all when they have the finisher icon above their head, you’ll be thrown into slow-mo time… What’s strange is that, even if you skip pressing buttons, the slow-motion hit sequence continues to play out. You won’t get your perk charge from the kill, but you’re still forced to watch it. Imagine watching these slow-mo kills 50 times in a row.
Dead Rising 720p 30 fps. not too surprising, though that’s some GTA5 current gen shit.
kinect sports looks good, but i’m not playing no fucking kinect shit.

Penello actually made a mistake about that.
Not surprised that Ryse is little more than eye-candy. I am surprised that the gaming press is calling it out on it though.

lol. i hate that its always negative xbox news, i was really rooting for that one.
I thought everyone already knew Ryse was gonna suck. I could tell that game was typical all graphics no gameplay 2000 era crap. Fuck graphics, give me games.
Definitely looking forward to KI3, Forza 5, DR3, Titanfall, Quantum Break and Sunset Overdrive when they come.

Id still check your emails just incase. Others are saying it doesn’t have to be 10 years and is also attached to gamerscores and other criteria.
Reports are out that people wiith as llittle as 3 years on thei account are getting the email.
Its an American system and this is the country where people buy things (iphones) just because they look and sound pretty. He’s being as American as you can get.
I’ve already played KI and absolutely loved it. I’m sure it’ll be pretty much a shoo in for Evo especially with MS sponsoring.
