I’ve only listed it as a Microsoft exclusive. That doesn’t mean good bad or inbetween. It just meant exclusive. Always thought the game was overrated but I’m not a regular game basher like the majority of SRK. KInda got over that. If I don’t like a game I just don’t talk about it very much.
Overall it was pretty obvious the game was there to grab up graphics whores who get attached to any game with photo realistic graphics.

What I played was solid as well. I was going off what little I remember from the early streams. Game was pick and play, fast paced, had tight controls and good flow.
Will it stand the test of time? Who knows. Will it replace (insert name of fighter) as your favorite fighter? Depends on the person. Did I have a good time and beat people who were trying to run Chief Thunder gimmicks? Yes and yes.

im tempted to go to best buy and grab one on release. but the only next gen games im even half interested are forza 5 and ki. But after fable anniversary i think im done with this gen, other than any replays I have left to do.

So has it been confirmed that playing games and just trading discs will work without a hitch? I want to play rise, like borrow it, rent it or buy it used from a store and return it after I beat it in a few days, but I know I definitely don’t want to shell out $60+ to keep it. Just wham bam thank you ma’am.
After the day one online patch that is mandatory to operate the system, everything will work as it did last gen.

Cancelled my pre-order last night. I’ll still pick one up but I’ll just wait until all the KI DLC is released.
That’s like waiting for all of the League of Legends DLC to release. They say as long as they make sales they will continue to make new characters on a per season basis under one title basically forever.
You have way more faith in that game then I do. I’m expecting season 2 to be the last with maybe a character or two after that. So, I guess I’ll revise my statement and say I’m waiting for Fulgore

I ran into a friend who used to work at Ghey!Stop!, the other day, and we talked about the next generation of systems for a bit.
I asked him whether or not he was going to get a next gen system, and if so, then if at launch.
He said “yes”, followed by “an X Box One”.
When asked why, he said “because pretty much everyone he knows and played online games with *this *gen, is getting one”.

my brother is the same way. i’m not going out of my way to change his mind. it really is microsofts ace in the hole: people are invested into xbox as a brand.
the resolutions won’t matter for most people out of the gate; graphics aren’t only resolution and frame rate. most 360 games were sub-hd resolutions upscaled to 720p+, so don’t expect a 720p->1080 upscale to matter as much as people think. ms has invested in their strong points: fps emphasis, core franchise, and online play, all of which are just as solid or have the chance at improvement. and as long as america cares about pointing guns at other players online in a top selling game, microsoft will always have a chance a sticking around and maybe even “winning”.

Well that’s going to be pretty soon. Even sooner if you buy the ultra edition since that allows you to be a beta tester for him and play him before he releases. Which since he’s my favorite character I’ve already put the 40 bucks on that.
Skullgirls is trying to do something similar using more time consuming resources and a smaller budget. If they’re still striving for an ever evolving fighting game, the sequel to Killer Instinct should have no problems.
Meh. Lot of it is just rumors and spin. When it comes down to it its looking to me that Xbox will be just as successful for acquiring a strong player base as it has had in the past. Plus now that multiple exclusives that matter are being pushed, its very likely the Xbox One will be more than FPS+multi plats. I never thought I would see a system exclusive fighting game be a big deal again, let alone that game be Killer Instinct.
With the other exclusives set to make waves and the Kinect having a chance to be a bigger hit than people want to admit, I see good things for the future of Xbox.
