We’ll see how it turns out. Some people are convinced BBCP and Xrd will stay Sony exclusive, but you’re probably right. Which means more drama.
Until we see otherwise though, they’re exclusive. ArcSys guys can at least cross fingers that their shit won’t get a 360/One port before Evo. If it does, we know what’s probably going to happen there.
Makes sense, seeing how it’s a Capcom-centric tournament. Sucks for the people who have PS3-only sticks, but at least everyone else need no longer settle for an inferior version of their game.
If you have the time and money to go to Evo, you have enough to mod your stick for 360 or buy a new one. Either way Mr.Wizard said PS3 exclusive titles are still eligible for the Evo2k14 lineup.
Either way, gonna be people bitching. As long as Xrd doesn’t come out on console till after Evo I think everything should be ok. That would be the only game that would cause a ton of drama since it’s a next gen game. Namco guys are guaranteed to bitch, but hopefully the 360 port is near identical.
man, i don’t know about you, but i just see a ton of poor kids save up for half a year just to make it to evo. people will find a way, despite their situation. this might make it hard on some…
Now I guess it’s time for PS3 only users to adapt since the 360 exclusive base had to all these years. Since evo2k14 is months away it should give people more than enough time to adjust financially. Isn’t Mr.Wizard a hardcore K.I fan? I can picture him trying to get MS to donate some XB1’s in the future. Honestly if PS4 does get some exclusive fighting games then evo will adapt depending on how big the game is. Regardless next gen seems like most of the ports will be close to each other due to PS4 being more easy to develop for.
Yeah you know people aren’t rich in the FGC when the current best overall player is saying they aren’t receiving enough money from their tournament wins. If your name is Hevad and you make a million dollars playing Poker, then that’s different.
Its nice that they’re doing this. It’ll help to alleviate the whole system side backing stuff that goes on throughout SRK and gives the 2 most popular games their best system finally. Hopefully it all works out where there’s a nice medium of support with both systems as when people wake up and smell coffee, both systems in the long run are going to be in a lot of households.
i’m not really impressed, but this is better than i thought they were going to get out of it. still 30fps, 900p. i wonder if xbone’s upscaling is as (negligibly) costless as it was with 360.
Nah. From what ive read lots of next gen titles are between 720p and 900p scaled to 1080p. Most run at 30fps. Some run at 60fps multiplayer while running at 30fps single player. Uhm…dynamic resolution. do console games use it?
So much for next gen, i mean the games are subpar at least make them pretty…1080p should already be standard…The 4k tv’s will be hitting main stream in 2years…Hell the Sony 55" Bravia 4k is only $3,500 right now.
Tekken Tag 2 used it. It would progressively switch to lower resolutions based on how many characters were on the screen.
The resolution vs fps tradeoff generally depends on the type of game for me. I’d prefer 60fps above all else in most any game where I’m playing against people competitively. If it’s a single-player title & I’m just wailing on the computer, then I’d settle for 30fps with more visual flair.
