I personally think it would look cool if you had some or all of the images in an old time sepia filter to give the impression of that 50s disney old-time movie.
But not sure if that would be overkill, so just a suggestion.

So I was thinking of adding game sprites to a possible template idea I had.
However, these would be from the Sega Genesis and are all really small of course. Some of them won’t even be a similar size unless I resize them. (Which might make it look even worse.)
So is it just me, or will something so small not turn out well on a template?
Not ENTIRELY sure what you’re asking… but if you are using the original sprites, you have to be satisfied that they will look like sprites. You can resize them at will, but I would turn off antialiasing or else you will end up with a blurry mess. As long as they can retain their “pixel” look it’s fine… but you want to avoid your program (i.e. Photoshop) trying to compensate for the resize.
Well, I was thinking of having a Sega screen on the bottom of my arcade stick. So on the template, I was going to have some in game sprites around the logo. But they’re all really tiny of course.
So I just wasn’t sure what would happen if I resized them. Thanks for the warning though, Princess. I’ll turn off antialiasing and see how it turns out.

Okay, here’s a lazy example of what I’m going for with the back template. I’ll just be adding some sprites in different poses from different Sega Genesis games. (Kind of like a Sega Genesis intro.)
I used Nearest Neighbor for resizing the sprites. Also, this will be for a back template, so no buttons will be in the way.

part of it’s appeal is being very vocal about how much you enjoy something so stupid. no one would give a shit about the show if it wasnt for it going memetic and having a community of people to bounce stupidity off each other.
Its a black case, and I never thought about dying it to another color, I should look into that. Thinking getting some pink Sanwa buttons to replace the white ones that are currently in it. I’m just waiting for Eightarc to restock their plastic covers :v
Agreed, but sadly what gets lost is that it’s probably the best cartoon to come out in years. Feels like a move back toward the days of Tartakovsky (PowerPuff Girls, Samurai Jack) in that it’s not a show with a bunch of mindless ADD crap. My girlfriend and I love it, but we actually just like the show, not the subsequent emerging subculture.
