My first stick art for my Brawlstick that I’m getting in a few days. Took off the buttons and joystick if anybody wants to use it.
Oh and tell me what to improve.
I’m not a huge fan of the SF4 font you used for “Ryu” and I think you should use different brushes for the red around the button, using the same brush in the same orientation (rotation) doesn’t look great.
I also don’t like the SFxT character artwork but that’s personal preference haha.
So what font do you recommend? Not to mention I’m new to photoshop and those ink splatters are from google images.
Well it depends on the look you’re going for, it’s just I think that font looks terrible in general. I usually prefer something a little bolder and sans-serif, but again it’s situational. You should be able to find something on www.dafont.com .
I’m not particularly sure why you even need it to say Ryu, there’s a picture of him right there…
Yeah I removed his name since then. Now all i have to do is a mockup and I’m set
that red is too red, and that font is disgusting(why do people use this unbalanced and ugly font so often? am i missing something?). look on dafont.com for some better fonts.

thinking about using this for a tek case, i am unsure about one thing though. reading the FAQ on the site, my art shouldn’t get cropped. however, i don’t really understand the purpose of the smaller inside black outline. not sure if i need to resize or not.
The smaller black line is the edge of the artwork after it’s cut. The template tells you to extend your artwork out to the red bleed line just in case the artwork doesn’t line up 100% perfectly after Art cuts the image out. That way, you don’t end up with a blank white space at the edge of your artwork.
Art’s artwork cuts are generally accurate +/- 2mm.
That said, I would make sure the tops of Lili and Chun Li’s head are within the black line, and have the bottom of each character bleed off the edge. Also, try playing with Lili’s positioning because where you have her she’s going to end up with a screw coming through her face. Ouch!

doesn’t look too bad i guess. about the hole on lili’s face, im pretty sure the art goes over those holes, its just to show where the stick is mounted.
May I request an artwork? I’m looking for new art for my MadCatz SE fight stick. I want it to have Naoto Shirogane (from Persona 4) and for the color scheme I’d like a mix of blue and black. If you can manage to fit yellow into it somehow (since that seems to be THE color of P4 lol) that would be cool. As far as the style goes something really simplistic would be nice. I don’t want it to be too cluttered.
I was wondering the sanwa obsc cb and cs buttons wich are the translucent ons can you stick art in side them like you can on seimitsu buttons

And here’s a future bottom template for my custom arcade stick. I already sent it in for printing, so hopefully there’s nothing wrong with it. (My only thought so far is it’s probably a bit too busy, even for a bottom template.)

It’s funny how the design he’s asking for is similar to what you asked me for.
im starting to wonder just how much yellow is in this fucking game cause i swear everyone has asked for the same damn design whenever requesting persona 4.
My new artwork. I take no credit at all for this art. Found it online somewhere and it just went perfectly on the template. lol. 
I’ll post in a mockup with yellow buttons/balltop when I remember how to do that on gimp.
