It’s so strange how those characters look just like Rin Tohsaka from Fate/Zero & Fate Stay Night.
Anyhow, I feel that it needs something. Perhaps a button design of some sort?

It’s not strange at all. They were all designed by artist Takashi Takeuchi who did the character designs for Tsukihime and Fate/stay night.
I think the characters look too small… See if you can find some larger art for the characters or even do a vector trace.
I see. But that is so weird how they look almost 80 % the same. Even the color of their clothes, eye color, and hair style.
LOL, welcome to anime. Some character designers are better than others, but others seem to recycle their designs with each project they take on. Hisashi Hirai, for instance, worked on Infinite Ryvius, Scryed, Fafner, and Gundam Seed, and all his characters look almost the same.
Is there a very quick and easy way for throwing down button outlines? I’ve got a TE-S so I’m going full panel for sure, and I’m not sure how I want to outline the buttons, if I decide to all all. I can manually line everything up and try to make it perfect, but I figure that there’s an easier way, or something quick I can type into settings.
If somebody had a simple pattern with various outline styles in which I could use, it would be greatly appreciated. This thread has tons of pages, and I didn’t see any on the main page with all the templates.
I usually take the layer in the template with the button layout, select the inside of the buttons, create a new layer and fill the selection with the color I want for the outline. After, I go to blending options for the layer I just created, then create a stroke of whatever size I want - usually 30px or so. I create a new layer and merge with the layer I just worked in and go to blending options and create a stroke again. I’ll repeat that however many times it takes to get the desired pattern.
I would take screen shots but I only have Photoshop on my work PC.
That is simple. Thank you very much. Now I need to find out what I’ll be doing for the rest of the stick.
I can’t believe I didn’t think of that.
i used to do it that way, but you have to be careful, because it only works up to a certain size before it starts to warp if you arent using vector images.
Does anyone know where I can find an image of Viper in this costume, except in the green and black version that Latif sometimes uses?
I’m thinking of something simple like this for the final art, but I’m not entirely decided on the background yet.
Needless to say, I’m not exactly a Photoshop expert, but I think it’s enough to get the idea across.
Any ideas/suggestions?
This. Stroke is great for round shapes, but distorts shapes with sharp angles.
I’d get rid of that messy green background and make the line-art green instead.
and add something to the background that would be less of an eyesore.
its like radioactive spider semen floating in space.
I don’t know what goes in your mind lol but it reminds me of those windows media player where it has those crazy weird color patterns.
I agree with Drop One’s sentiment, although “radioactive spider semen in space” wasn’t my first thought.
On an unrelated note, picked up an Ice Red Q4 for a steal yesterday. It’s got the handle, so I’m going to replace the art, buttons, and dustwasher to turn it into a First Aid kit. Will post pictures asap. I’m pretty excited for this.
So, maybe here’s a start? I actually really like the idea of using the colorized line art.
Anyone have any recommendations of what to do with the background? Maybe some kind of subtle grey/green design around the buttons?
Is there a better method of doing this then? I could do a radius selection from the center, but I don’t know of the fastest way to find the center. I’m apparently an idiot when it comes to photoshop…
This is stick I made for fun for a spare brawl stick I had. Me and a friend of mine have a team we use together we call RBS(like arby’s, hence the arby’s slogan up top)
That’s flipping awesome.
<3 Sub-Zero. My main too.
