The new NEW Dayton, OH thread

Its funny how people above make there own assumptions of why I said I might retire. When none know a fucking thing about what is going on with me.

Some issues are happening at this moment. To the point I VERY WELL MAY have to give it up.

But as I said more news on that at a later date.

Also another question are we all still going to that tourney is ST Louis?

Word one. I was joking. Two. Don’t cuss at me boy.

I’ll play SFIV Ranbat.

haha ok fun fun

i think arkayne wants to retire cuz hes really a russian super spy sent to dayton to analyze and collect data on what its like to be a video game nerd in the midwest. but now the russian government might be reassigning him and he has to make up this tale of retiring so if he does have to leave it will have to be right away and it wont seem so out of the blue.

the anger is to distance himself from us so if he does leave we wont miss him and look for him…it will be as if he never existed…hes a good spy

:smokin:

I am not, no money + school = not going.

LOL FUCK YOU KRIS Kidding bro , nah I wasnt cussing at you just the people above xp.

what you gonna do get rog? Abel wants a go at that ASS XD

lol Keith…

Kak dela!!!1 KAK DELA!!! KAK DELLLLLA!

Kam you a video machine, son.

If only you watched brazbrue videos too.

Guys, I think Jordyn officially plays 3rd strike now. (I’ve been waitin’ for this!)

Don’t get too excited…I’ll lose my motivation to learn it if we don’t play frequently, so you had better be coming over tomorrow night. That DVD I was burning when you left didn’t work, so no practice mode for me tonight. Looks like I’ll still suck at command grab -> fierce tomorrow.

I think I’ll main Ken and Makoto, but I want to pick up Urien, too. Chun is also a possibility. I really want to learn Yun too. I’ll probably just focus on Ken and Makoto for the time being.

I think my Ken has potential to be really solid (I think I already have his mixup game down pretty well) but he feels so boring to me. Fake crossup, crossup -> dial a combo, low short x2 -> dash throw, low short x2 -> super, etc. just feels really generic to me.

In any case, yeah, I guess I’m picking up 3rd. No one likes ST but me and Matt from Hillsboro and I hate Street Fighter IV, so I guess I’ll add 3S next to my name in the OP.

I guess I’ll fuck with this SFIV RR. I’ll just start throw wrenches in these bitches.:badboy:

“You can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a Rog”

Good to know you’re getting into 3s Jordyn, when my spring break hits we can definitely play more.

If you are considering Urien I can pm you some vids I found helpful.

Adam- I’ll plan on coming out the weekend of the 11th then?

I don’t know you’re talking about…

But I’ll try to watch some BB soon. I watch a lot of youtube (almost daily) anyway adding stuff to my favorites. I’ll add some BB soon.

::EDIT::

B: Claw (US Vega, JPN Balrog), Guile*

Discuss.

Err…

No idea on Tekken. You’re gonna have to teach me some Tekken Kam, then maybe I can discuss that mess with you.

SF4, more or less what I expected, but I still think Furte will be higher once people actually learn to control him. His mixups are so basic…but sometimes basic is all you need if you muck a match up into rock/paper/scissors quick enough.

And I actually think Gief drops to S. Reminds me of when BB first started getting played and the first Tager players were destroying everyone. People still have to learn the game, and learn how to play against him with the new system. Once that happens, he’ll have great matchups and horrible ones like most big grappler chars do.

Though he’ll probably be more of a Potemkin as opposed to a Hugo…Still. I don’t think he stays up there.

And with all the complaining I hear about Blanka, I’m surprised he’s just A. Maybe this is just the US being a few months behind Japan though. /shrug

Then again, I don’t really play SF4…so…

Anyway, current ranbat list:

SF4 RanBat List:

Actionhank
Arkayne
doragonkoroshi
TKRT
DaddyNeptune
Delpheous

Assumptions?
DaCarta
TechThatShit
Aaron

Fuerte’s just really fragile. His mixups are good, but you’ve yet to see someone land the infinite, that’s where he really does his damage. I think it’s 3 reps till stun on nearly every character. And it builds good meter.

Edit: Mario, I’d make it that weekend, on Friday if possible, I think they’ll be back on Sunday so I need to make sure the house is clean before they get back.

Who is hosting the SF4 ranbat and where? I’d like to play if it’s cool.

I may miss a session eventually, but I want to see where I stand.

Also… somebody please recommend a good headset for PS3 (and where to get it) cause I’ve never seen a Sony one anywhere.

Tekken A-tier is so fun to say. “larslilileelaw.” I think lei and leo should be A-tier too, because their names also start with ‘L.’ Namco really dropped the ball here imo.

It’ll probably be at Wright State again. More info as it develops though.

I find that hilarious too Matt, I’m always curious if this new wave of fighting game developers actually considers tiers when they make sequels, or if they just let the players decide on their own. I’m sure with the older generation, everything was an accident…but now I wonder.

Kam the japanese list and the american tiers for 4 are different. Vip is like lower A. The only reason the japanese place her so high is because shes all execution and the japanese are technical. Now to mention thats the arcade… and that list isnt that new… IIRC.

I’ll just call them the La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo.

I just got in a huge fight with my stupid fucking roommate who got fired from his job and can’t pay the bills, which doesn’t really matter, because even when he had a job he didn’t pay the bills. I threw one of my arcade sticks at a door (PS3 MadCatz SE) and the balltop went through the door.

In short, who needs a roommate?
