Anyone on that team can be played as leader. Kim is a good choice though. In the case of your team its just preference…If your comfortable with Kim as your anchor then that choice is fine

Keep in mind that anything that ends in QCF+P you can substitute or supercancel into his L/DMs.
Kim’s LDM isn’t bad, but he really doesn’t need it. The only thing he gains from it is the fact that it’s an Ultimate Juggle.
Gato or Kula become even more dangerous when they have access to the LDMs.
Gato’s LDM is one of the very best because it has almost no damage scaling, even from Super/Dream Cancels.
He ain’t that broke. We aren’t talking about Nightmare Geese here. It’s just that you have to play smart with him. He’s far from EX Geese in 98UM and even there he’s beatable.
I have to mirror Shiki by saying that XI Clark is probably the best. Especially with Leader (:looney:Dream Cancel), great Frankensteiner range, and a halfway decent Napalm Stretch. Just wished he had unblockable run grabs…

I’ve been working on Hotaru. She has good potential but has very few moments to utilize it. w/o precise/quick execution it is hard to get her BnB’s off of lights. In this game she lacks options, has low priority, and short range. A lot of moves are completely unsafe on block, you’re limited to pokes but can get at least 40% on any connected hard.
Reasons to play Hotaru:
+Fastest meter builder
+Has an infinite (too hard)
+Can do atleast 40% on hards (but who can’t?)
+She’s Gato’s sister
I’m sorry but I have to say Garou Hotaru was better considering how bad she gets rushed in XI.

I just picked up this up on console, been about two years since I played in arcade shaking the rust off.
Still trying to figure who I’m going to practice as my main squad. I’m really liking some Tizoc stuff in this game. Im behind though, Im sure there is a whole lot I have to learn.

I’m pretty new to KoF. What makes EX Kyo so much better than regular Kyo? Also, are there good write ups anywhere for Mai or Mr. Big? This game is fun as hell.
EX Kyo does the same thing but better in every way. He can connect Aragami, Dokugami, and his new Dokugami chain from crB, fwd+B. Rekkas from lights like Iori pretty much. crB combos into fwd+B and it’s an EASY hitconfirm. Aerial RED kic,k and hop aerial RED kick. Better corner juggles. Better damage. He’s a superior Kyo. Triple DP juggle in the corner to boot.
Yeah, Mai’s pretty nice in this one, just wished they’d give her some more RB2 moves. LDM’s pretty vicious and her air game is nice so far.
I fuckin hate Gato…For obvious reasons…Theres really no need for me to be complainin since ive been playin this game for so damn long…but i felt the need to say it.
I was playin against my friends team of Gato/Clark/Kula with my team of Malin/Gai/Shen…Bad thing is i have every match clinched until the bullshit starts

Right now Im using Elisabeth/Benimaru/Gato/Tizoc as my main 4. I have been practicing a few combos etc, but I really need some human opponents.
Now you understand why he holds top in the tier list. Nobody in the game can outprioritize or rush like him, and he leaves very few openings to be punished.

Yeah, I was messing with him in training mode earlier. Holy shit. I’m thinking of using Iori/Jenet/EX Kyo(L) as a team, been watching Poongko and it seems like this team could be lethal.
I’m quite dissapointed that this game wasn’t announced as one of the XBLA games coming out. :sad:
I agree…I find it perhaps the best KOF of everything out so far.
