To the guy that asked about Duo Lon, send me a PM I’ll help you out there…
u don’t mean me right??
Why a PM? Why not post the info for anyone to see for future reference?
Because it is a helluva lot to post…and I do mean a helluva lot…I’d be basically posting my entire 4.5 years worth of experience playing Duo Lon Leader…
But I will consider it, depending on the reply from that guy.
Everything.
Slow, nerfed damage in just about every category, worthless supers, counters are useless, damage off of rekka combos is pitiful, no good damage off of her command grab, lost some useful anti-airs…
Personally I would like to see it, Dou Lon is a character I’ve had a growing interest in lately.
well don’t be so mean with her at least her jumping D is good, her overhead is fast, she can presure well in the corner, and a player using her air hcf+p game can turn out to be really annoying.
Bad but not useless.
It is the MissedFRC guy he’s the one that asked I dunno what he wants me to do or whatever but I tell you what, it is going to take me a lot of time to type all of this out because you are talking about mindgames, not only comboes, setups, matchups against others, alternatives uses of the LDM, anti airs, Air to Air best options, a lot of stuff.
MissedFRC asked? I know that guy, let me talk to him about it on IRC real quick.
Don’t feel pressured to write out a whole lot. I was mainly looking for go-to combos, especially in LDM. I haven’t really seen any definitive list of good, strong options Duo Lon has other than get in to LDM and do a combo. What I’m looking for combo-wise is what’s optimal, what should I be doing midscreen? Corner? My back to the corner? Basic stuff such as that.
- Main way to get in LDM for Duo Lon:
Palm Combo: qcf+a,f+lk,hcb+CxxLDM. after activating you have quite a few options…one of the ones I use that is simple is:
qcf+axxf+b lk teleport to other side then repeat (qcf+a,f+lk,hcb+C)x6, then do down+HPxxlk teleport, then do a palm combo and super cancel into hcbx2 skulls. That’s a Level 1 LDM combo with Duo Lon and I would recommend mastering that one before we go into Double Palms and other things.
Now thats Mid Screen for Duo Lon,
- Corner: you can do the palm comboxxLDM like the last one, then (qcf+axxf+lk to lk teleport)x6, down+HP, Palm ComboxxSkulls level 1 super.
I would recommend mastering that down before going into anything more in depth. Now keep in mind at anytime after you do the palm combo outside of the LDM (after the down+HP), then you can Save Shift to another character, and also keep in mind that outside of the LDM Duo Lon is building super meter.
3.Back to corner you can do the same thing as midscreen.
Those are some good go to comboes for starts…get as comfortable with those as you can…enough to where you can do them 95% of the time…
- In corner off a Save Shift or if you can just do it: Start LDM Combo off St.Cxx df+DxxLDM then:
Hyperhop/short hop FORWARD+C then go into the combo I have above but only do FIVE reps of it then end it the way I have listed…
All other ways into LDM with Duo Lon require a Skill Stock, St.CxxDf+D into LDM does not require a skill stock.
hmmmm changing drastically of subject, anyone knows of videos of quality macthes with ps2 exclusive characters (excluding ex-kyo), especially Robert and Hotaru and maybe tung?
Incredible super level play.
Damn, this game needs to come back

Wow, haven’t watched or played this game in a while. But I caught a lot of minute details and tricks in that video.
Count this as a rant, so if you don’t like to read others’ opinion, don’t bother.
My personal highlight reel
All times - Eiji at his highest level. Lots of frame traps, pressure, and option selects.
0:33 - That grab Ozzy got was from Eiji using j.B, then going for some kind of maneuver afterwards. If he would have used close.C, I’m pretty sure he would have beat it.
0:43 - I always tell people KOF has footsies, they just look different. This situation is a primary example.
3:20 - The Eiji pressure and frame traps I mentioned earlier. Honestly, looks like the only way out is GCCD or SS. That opposing Eiji literally lost when he was taken to the corner.
3:58-4:07 - Risky crossup setups. Some MvC2 level stuff here. Pretty sure that Player 1 knows that this guy just wants to block successfully till he can get some breathing room.
4:19 - Option Select. Although his close.C hit too meaty to get a cancel.
5:11 - Funny looking Vapor Cannon feint into 1 frame grab super. Costs 1 SP to do though.
6:40 - Midscreen Ace setup. Gotta love Ozzy.
7:52 - The Gato forward roll from knockdown trap. This is why you never forward roll after being knocked down.
9:09 - Magic crossup setup I have never seen before.
10:19 - Option Select, or a perfect read? Take your guess.
10:28 - More footsies. Honestly, this situation speaks a lot of words on how this game is at top levels.
12:47 - This guy knows how to fight an aggressive Ozzy. With Clark. Damn nice Clark play despite losing him.
14:05 - Ralf’s far.C is very good. But there are ranges and situations where it shouldn’t be used. And he ate damage because of that.
14:51 - Ever since EVO 09, I hate watching people get hit by this gimmick. You can’t really react to it, which sadly makes it a legit gimmick.
16:04 - This is the future of most every fighting game. Instead of completing the BnB, reset it for a mixup opportunity which can net you more damage.
17:39 - Another textbook Gato gimmick. This one is not very hard to read, but it seems to work a lot.
17:48 - Option Select
18:53 - Again? Really?
I’ll do the latter half whenever I feel in the mood.
^^ nice, and yeah that Eiji footage was some of the most elite usage of Eiji
here are some more new awesome XI vids
Note the nice AOF team, especially the beastly Ryo.
However the player foolishly doesn’t use skill stocks to save himself or tag combo, if he did he would dominate even more so.

Random Kensou/Ryo tandem is random.
Nice Footy, Dat Vanessa in ??? was on point!
Man I haven’t touched this game in so long. I know for a fact I’m srcubby at it.
Kensou/Ryo are Vanessa’s best teammates because they have the easiest set-ups for her infinite.
This game is my favorite KOF even if I’m a noob
I started to play with Ash/Shen/Kensou but these characters are very difficult to play for me (I started to play since December 10’ and I have an arcade stick). Any easy combos for those? Ash’s LDM is good? I really like this char…
So please, can you help me?
Sorry for my english, I failed at school, especially in foreign languages :razzy:
