The game wasn’t made for team mode and it shows. That’s why we don’t play it like that. People need to be able to switch out if they have to deal with a broken POS like Kula or Gato. Another problem is that nobody WANTS to play the game that way. It’s even less popular than Arrange mode.
The game is called KOF XI. Not KOF XIII. How the Hell are you going to deny what makes the game stand out and make it what it is?

anyways ya i know what u r saying… trust me it feels weird playing XI that way… since i used it quite often to make certain unsafe moves safe… or to play tricks with block strings, specially when i got Clark as leader…

btw IF Adel’s d/f.A could actually AA consistently without getting stuffed cause of it’s 0 priority and slowness… it would be a retardedly powerful AA… cause u can like hit confirm literally everything into it…
so i’ve been practicing with Adel A LOT recently… and i’ve searched around and have not really found that many videos of him and most people tend to mainly just use him for his LDM… since i’ve been playing the game in Team Mode lately i’ve been looking into what he can do for himself… of course we all know Adel becomes 100 times better with 2 DM stocks anyways here are some of my findings…
his main B&Bs and the ONLY ones u should use ALL the time r…

- cr.B, cr.B, f.B xx qcf.D
- jump B_D, cr.B, f.B xx qcf.D
- cross-up B, cr.B, cr.B, f.B xx qcf.D
with meter…
- cr.B, f.B xx qcf.B xx qcf x2 B / LDM add another cr.B for LDM
- jump B_D, cr.B, f.B xx qcf.B xx qcf x2 B / LDM
- cross-up B, cr.B, f.B xx qcf.B xx qcf x2 B / LDM add another cr.B for LDM
ok so now i’ll explain y is it that u only need those combos and nothing else… first of all each of ur string attacks until “f.B” give u the option of doing a “tick …God Press”… this is VERY important to Adel’s gameplay…
besides that u got another option… u can do God Press on a BLOCKED f.B… this will result in the God Press to whiff right infront of them… y whiff? to bait ofcourse… rememer if u don’t do anything u’ll end up doing the OVERHEAD from the second hit of f.B… OR u can also cancel this into QCF.B to be safe… so ur opponents will want to block these… this gives u the chance to mix-up doing random God Press whiffs trust me the whiff from this is really short… and i suggest specially doing this when u have “2 STOCKS” loaded… y? because IF ur opponent doesn’t do ANYTHING… u can REPEAT the same “Block String” over and over… but IF ur opponent gets frustrated and wants to retaliate, u can re-counter any attmept with ur LDM… and its perfectly safe even if they block it…
now those r ur options to play around with opponents defense… now lets see y u should ALWAYS end a meterless combo with QCF.D… because its a hard KD… and it gives Adel a perfect mix-up tool…
after u land a combo ending with QCF.D jump towards the oppoent… delay ur jump slightly and do jump B… if u time it right u will WHIFF this right as they get up… giving u a perfect “cr.B” or “God Press” mix-up… u r also SAFE… so u can block any stupid wake up DP crap… and punish and put them back into the SAME position…
u can also delay ur jump a SLIGHT bit more… and u will hit them right as they get up… this sounds very simple… but trust me, use jump B and u’ll at first have a problem telling if U r gonna whiff or not… cause jump B should come out VERY low to the ground…
u can also walk and do jump B… and depending on the distance u can either cross-up or not…
now lets talk about his meterless anti-air… cause we all know how good his AA with meter is

hyper JUMP E… comes out right away… will beat jump-ins fairly well… for opponents jumping at u… jump straight up and do it… and to beat hops jump back…

d.C… do it when opp. is a bit close to the ground… if u cancel it into QCF+B, they will land RIGHT on it… if they move and get HIT, IF u r FAST ENOUGH u can HIT CONFIRM his LDM or “qcf x2 D” off of this…

s.E… this is also pretty good… no one will get hit by this, but try it for laughs… cause it is hilarious and takes off like 50%+ life if they get hit by s.E as AA and don’t roll recover, cancel s.E to his A version of Kaiser Wave… then do “qcf x2 D” right away… IF the first DM hits them, the second DM will connect also…

d/f.A… this is kinda slow… but his best damging one… IF u successfully AA with it… u can hit confirm either QCF.B_D / LDM / “qcf x2 D” off of it… works if u hit a grounded opponent as well…
a few more things to mention…
IF u land his normal throw, take a SMALL step back then jump forward and j.B… it will cross-up… if ur back step is slightly bigger u’ll rather NOT cross-up instead…
do cr.D at MAX range, then cancel it with QCF.B …AS LATE as possible… IF ur opponent recovery rolls this, they will roll right into it… this is another time where IF they move and get HIT with ur FB… u can HIT CONFIRM ur LDM or “qcf x2 D” off of it… an EASY way to get the PERFECT distance required for MAX ranged cr.D is achieved by doing cr.B, cr.B as a block string before it…
his ground normals arent THAT great… but not terrible… he can use s.B… and cr.B… and cr.D… and kinda slow far s.C… for his air-air he should ALWAYS do JUMP “E”…
usually it’s BEST to just save his METER for use for ITSELF… OR for SHENANIGENS… he really NEEDS meter for safety…

also just for laughs… Adelheid 4 bar combo… opponent a little further then a super jump away from the corner… and u r a full screen away from them…
throw out A Kaiser Wave… right away do LDM… u will reach them before ur KW… as soon as u r done with ur LDM, the KW will hit them… right as soon as u recover from ur LDM throw out D Genocide Cutter… the slash will hit them… does about 80%…
oh btw in the block string “s.C, b.B” if u cancel into C God Press u will “whiff” …BUT if u cancel into A God Press u will “catch them”
also IF Adelheid’s cross-up gets blocked u will land IN FRONT of them… so always do 2 cr.B afterwards to hit confirm which side u r on so that u can hit f.B instead of accidentally doing b.B…
now for meaty combo-able qcf.B setups… he has 4 meaty FB setups…
1 - AA with d.C xx qcf.B
2 - max ranged cr.D xx delay qcf.B opp. tech recover
3 - qcf.D “combo ender” > qcf.B
4 - Regular Throw > walk back slightly qcf.B
out of all 4 of these, if they get hit with the FB then u can connect an LDM or D Genocide Cutter… and the Regular Throw is the best out of these…
Adelheid’s regular throw gives him beastly setups… specially with 1-2 bars…
- first he gets the cross-up mix-up as i mentioned earlier…
all of his next mix-ups come from the meaty FB setup… walk back a little
- again if he conncts with the FB, he can hit confirm his DM/LDM off of it…
- he can also throw the FB and follow it up with a God Press… and the opponent has a rather small window of gap after they recover from the FB block stun…
- he can also follow up the FB with a hyper hop B / empty hyper hop cr.B if u space urself right u will be able to land ur b&b combo string from this
