Just out of curiosity and to spark discussion, does anyone happen to know the defense and stun resistance of the console characters?
I figure it would be nice to learn, considering they are now legal.
I had been playing around with the console characters, even before the ban was lifted, and the only thing I could see with certainty is that Tung’s defense is pretty damn low. It may even be as low as Jyazu/Hayate/Adel.
You going to West Coast Warzone??? Thats when we can throwdown some more. Plus I sent you a PM about ‘something’ going down too that it’d be nice to have you at…because it’ll be the best KOFXI comp you are gonna find practically in all the USA and northern Mexico…
Yeah KOFXI had 26 entrants at EVO World this year. Believe it or not, KOFXI is far from dead!
I’ll keep an eye on it I saw the chart a longggggggggg time ago.
Also this thread was about to be bumped anyways as I got a new Duo Lon LDM combo I have to get on film plus Ciudad Juarez, Mexico Ranking Battles in KOFXI begin next weekend so expect this thread to get a lot of extra love!
If you haven’t realized yet, KOFXI is a damn good game. It should still get played regardless if KOFXII is out because they are different games. KOFXI is well balanced, and boils down to skill (EVO should’ve added to that).

So, can anyone give me some Eiji tips? I’ve always liked Eiji, but no matter what game it is I can’t play anything that resembles decent with him >_>
It’s not like I’ll have anyone to use this with, but I’ve always wanted to learn him. Although for some reason I can NEVER pull off his LDM at the arcade though (or any with half circle something x2), weird.
Yeah Eiji tips…watch Kane9999’s Eiji, one of the most solid Eiji’s you will find. His LDM is hcbx2+E as Leader.
Look up as many ‘Dark Geese vs. Kane9999’ or ‘Rodo vs. Kane9999’ vids on youtube as possible and you’ll see what I am talking about. Plus I will be getting a whole new batch of vids and gaining a lot more experience post EVO next weekend in KOFXI so I can come back with a fresh paint of whoop ass…
Also SoulStah- Check out Mr. KOF’s Duck King as well as Kane9999, both have different styles of play with Duck King, but both are effective. Combine how both play Duck King into one and you pretty much have a winner!

Nice combo but in a real match what is the likelihood of you having the right meter and some random ass just standing in the corner waiting to get raped by this combo.
Don’t get me wrong. Its pretty and such but is real game play will you ever see it?
After I wake up from my powernap I will tell you the probability of this combo occuring…I’ll break it down.
Unfortunately, I didn’t plan ahead for Warzone, so chances are I won’t make it, mainly due to money + ride problems.

While I noticed that Tung takes damage heavily, his basic BnBs I found do really good damage in the corner. Like Ralf/Maxima level damage.
Don’t know if his dp kicks can be teched, but if not, he’s got some seriously good combos in the corner, like Jump C, standing C, f+A xx qcb+P, dp+E (otg). This does like 30-40% damage I think, for no meter.
I’m definitely not adept at discovering combos, so there’s probably even better combos you can find for him.
just found out that dp kicks do tech.

ANYWAYS, I guess for Tung you need to experiment to see what he has that causes a non-recoverable knockdown (if he even has one–they are kind of rare in XI…)
