The targon nerf had a lot to do with that, it was just so easy to sit in lane and make tons of money before that. Now everything has switched to a hard engage bot lane and constant roams with the jungler, mid and top. The less ways you offer MOBA players to safely make money, the more risks they will start to take to get a leg up.
4 wins to close out placements, including 14/2/11 and 19/3/15 Lucian games back to back and the fuckin game STILL demotes me to Bronze 2. This includes a game where my duo went 17/5/5 with Jayce and we still lost to people trolling placements for others.
ya, almost everyone i have has started lower than they finished… or even started lower than last season.
last season the reset was something like elo+1200 divided by 2.
currently 0-2 atm throws are strong…
Mine weren’t even throws, three of those losses were people blatantly feeding and tower diving to troll people out of placement matches. 30% is a huge number for something like that. At least the tier 1 compression is gone.
I was Plat 2 in summer, stopped playing and decayed to like Plat 4. Went 5-5 placement matches, moved to Gold 1. Got like 20-30 LP per win and made it to Plat 5 again… just won my promos and went straight to Plat 3.

I just work on getting better and doing the best I can. I don’t care about my rank when I play but care about getting better. This game is too trollish.
That’s really the best way to play ranked. We’ve got a year to reach our goals, no need to get too stressed. Most of the people I’ve talked to about ranked have always said that once they stopped taking ranked super seriously, they would climb faster and easier. Play your best, but also play the way you want.
I feel better about it after some sleep. I’ve wanted everyone from Silver 3 and downwards to get bucked back to Bronze to have to dig their way out for a while. Now it actually happens and I got tight lol. Was really just mad that my placements got blatantly trolled. Getting out of Bronze again shouldn’t take too long, and if that many people really got demoted that far, getting up past Silver should be easier this time around.

placements were pretty shitty in terms of being first or second pick for me. was only 2nd once out of the 10 games and never first. ended up going 7-3, almost 8-2. luckily for me they were nice enough to let me jungle 8 of the 10 games. went top once and mid once. surprisingly enough there were a large amount of duos in placements and most of them were duo bot lane. my two least favorite roles. so i got lucky there too not having to rely on either a shitty adc or shitty support. bottom line for placements. get your role, get lucky, and pray for the best.
Ugghhhh… how the hell are you suppose to fight a Renketon top? OP shit. Been using Shy and WW top but can’t seem to trade even… and then at 6 he can tower dive. Shy I can undedrstand, but WW is suppose to beat him right?
No WW does not beat him. He is too aggressive for WW top WW wants to fight tanks because he can sustain through any damage they deal and eventually always be able to 1v1 them. So the shyvs and mundos. Shyv should be a fine match up against renekton you might have to give up some cs in earlier levels but once shyv starts getting into later lvls past 7 you should be able to out push and dps him.
as shyv you want to CS with your hadouken. Once you have a level or two in burnout you can start to win trades if you go in after his twirl. If you go in of course the renek will try to slice and dice closer to you and stun for some quick damage. If you see him go in make sure you use burnout so he continues to take damage while damaging you, if you do it right you will end up winning the trade with burnout + hadouken and auto attacks.
Garen is actually really good against renek because you will still spin to win while stunned and then in trades you can get him low enough to kill him (if you gauge it right.) But I play Garen slightly different than most I see.
