The Netflix Thread

Locke and Key is by an guy named Joe Hill. The very first arc is called “Welcome to Lovecraft” lol

I hope the adaptation is even a fraction of bonkers and nerve racking as the comic.

I’ve been looking at that one for a while but haven’t started it. I think I’ll check it out. Gonna start WWII in Color first.

Thanks for the recommendations, guys.

No show is ever going to build a big enough audience to take off like they want. That takes time. Like what has gotten more then 2 seasons? GLOW, She-Ra…um…

Stranger Things has three seasons.

And a 4th season announced.

Well, Stranger Things is one of their mega-popular Marquee titles, like Orange is the New Black or House of Cards. Of course they’re going to renew that. But they seem to not want to let anything not mega-hot last. It’s starting to get annoying.

Gonna scare people off from even trying their shows for fear they won’t last.

Mind hunter was a big hit it seems just not fuckin insane numbers prob. So it’s like… What in the fuck are they lookin for in a show?

Well fuck me.

The tl;dr is for one reason or another (usually contract renegotiations or production costs) it’s more cost effective for Netflix to end shows after two seasons unless they are undeniable run away successes like Bojack, OitNB and Stranger Things.
