I think it depends. On the way up, it’s a strong possibility. But with the meteor coming down, I doubt it.

I think it’d also be a good idea to write down compiled information on srk wiki site. It’s easier to navigate than forums for ‘outsiders’.

Anyone know if that can work with X-23’s Ankle Slicer as the OTG assist? I’m trying, but for some reason they’re always a bit too high for the L follow-up to Gamma Charge to hit.

I haven’t seen this, though I admittedly skipped a good chunk in the middle, but his s fierce is kara cancellable which would help in the reset talk here.

I found a midscreen, 1 bar/1 assist combo that does 790 000 for when you’re too far away from the corner to Gamma Crush (which happens more often than not). It requires an assist that locks your opponent in place, I’m using Doom Rocks, but something like Chun Legs/Dante Jam Session should work with different timing.

:l:, :m: xx :f::d::df:+:h: (all hits) > :h:, land, :l: + :a2: xx :f::d::df:+:l: (least hits) > :h:, :s:, j. :m:, j. :h:, j. :s:, Gamma Tsunami.

In the corner, you can do Gamma Wave xx Gamma Crush for approximately 900 000. With DHCs, you can go as high as 1.2 million.

Yup, a few pages back we discovered Gamma Tornado set ups with s. :l:, kara-:h:. The execution is tight, but it’s worth practicing. Edit: It’s also worth learning to jump cancel your special moves/supers off dashes. Just press A+B, then do the motion ending in up/up-forward/up-back.

Doom Rocks assist/Projectile Assist, :l:+:m: xx :f::d::df::uf:+:l: > :m: is absolutely godlike for approach, it’s better than horizontal Gamma Charge, it recovers much more quickly but doesn’t cover as large of a distance. It’s also way harder to do.

I have to get back in training and try all of this. I have to learn to use super armored moves more often cause right now I have that habit of fishing for j.S or j.H :stuck_out_tongue:

After playing against MODOK I’m pretty scared of good keep away. I really don’t have any answer with Hulk when MODOK’s shielded, covered in bombs and spamming psionic blaster. It’s fast as hell (hits startup of gamma wave, unibeam, happy trigger, hypers… geez).

I’m going to try and record videos of all the combos, resets and command throw set ups I’ve found. Tomorrow I’ll record the combo I just posted because it’s difficult to wrap your head around the timing unless you see it performed.

Edit: I’m actually going to be recording *everything * tonight, my buddy is coming over with his camera. I’ll try and have it up as soon as I can.

As for MODOK, try super jumping over all of his bullshit, I find that to be pretty effective. Or try to switch out Hulk for a character that can actually deal with him :rofl:

can someone check if DP Gamma Charge H followup is safe on block. it looks like the other guy is in hella blockstun.

buktooth guide says +5 on block.

Holy shit, that’s godlike, safe repeatable pressure. Which of his light attacks is faster, s.:l: or cr.:l:?

in the corner DP Gamma Charge H and the follow up will lock someone down and gives you a lot of options. you can keep going with and there are very few ways out for any characters. so far we have tried several things to get out of it and have only found a few things pushblock the second hit(still doesnt get you out very far and if you know someone is going to do it you can stop doing the H version and do the light one because with the right spacing it wiffs.) the other thing they can do is burn their xfactor to cancel the blockstun and punish. I havent tested yet but i believe they can tag out. either way it is a great mixup in our favor.

That is the team i am running with now hulk on point doom second and haggar third. the dhcs are really good, when i want to style on someone combo with hulk ending in the corner gamma wave, gamma crush, dhc to haggar mgb and then dhc to doom level 3. Five bars but kills anyone and is really just for the lols

I found out that it’s possible to do something like this:

dp+:l:~:m:, j.:l:, j.:m:, j.:s:, dp+:l:~:m:, :s:, up, j.:s:, dp+:atk::atk: (or otg assist -> gamma crush)

Sadly it doesn’t deal more damage than already discovered combos :frowning:

Hey all! I don’t check the forums before I start working on combos because I want to experiment with the character without being influenced… so, there’s probably always going to be some overlap from guys that are spending more time on a char! I typically only put about 2 hours into a character before I capture something, then move onto the next character (trying to do all 36 characters takes a lot of time!). I hope any of the stuff was useful… if not, maybe it will inspire some new Hulk fans! =D

Not sure if this has been mentioned in the thread, but if you use the armor on H to eat a move and then cancel into DP+L~M (or DP+H~H) you can preserve your bounce for later in the combo! I found it interesting! Try doing H(eat a move) -> DP+L~M, j.L-M-S (this is where you will bounce if you preserved it!), then the combo of your choice… walkup c.H…S(2-hit)… air combo, OTG etc.

With a jump-in (of M), I think I was able to get up to 830K with no assists assuming you take them to the corner and get the b,f+H -> QCB+PP pick-up. You can probably get closer to 900K if you take out a move here or there and star with j.H, though not sure how viable that will be in the long run!

Hulk isn’t a very combo heavy character so it’s only natural that one of your combos was already discovered :wink:

Anyway, good job. Few ideas are definetely impressive. That ‘bounce preserving’ c.H can be really useful.

I have to work on timing of j.L~M~M, s.L, c.H after ground bounce. That’s some additional damage to our bnb.

And about Rejump combo: why no j.M in the last air chain? Just j.H,j.S?

You can use Hulk’s j.:h: as an instant overhead on a crouching Sentinel. The easiest way to set it up is to do :l:+:m:, :db::uf:+:h:. If you super jump cancel Hulk’s dash and press :h:, you’ll get a much lower jump than usual. Gargooletz discovered this pre-release and I’ve been messing around with it. Because j.:h: puts you at like +10 000 on hit, you can combo into whatever you want. I like to land and do s.:m: into my 800 000 damage midscreen combo.

My Hulk/Doom/Haggar team has been completely free since I started toying around with it. I really want to use a team that I can carry over my SSF4 experience with (Where I use T. Hawk to dish out some big damage, and when I get the life lead, I play defense.). I feel building a team either around hulk, or with Hulk on the team would help most with that. Problem is that with the team I’m using now, is that they get outzoned too easily (if I try to use molecular shield, I just eat a beam attack). And when I’m up close, Hulk and Haggar just feel too slow to punish my opponents for their stupidity. Maybe I just don’t quite get how Hulk works.

I’m fully aware that my play style for this game may be completely different than SF4, and if that’s the case, it’s gonna be a frustrating few months of nothing but losing to bad players until I find that style. Bleh.

Most of the time my Hulk alone owns all teams. Many people are not aware of his super armor.

But guys like Sentinel and Modok? It’s impossible to get close to them. Super jump doesn’t work for this. They’ll just wavedash to the other side of the screen. Startup on their projectiles is really annoying and even on block they’re pushing you back.
It’s not even that Hulk is being outzoned, Iron Man must desperatly try to go for a fly mode/air dash avoiding mines, lasers and cubes… Deadpool with his longer startup of guns and no airdash can’t do much also (maybe Quick Work :h:?)
