This sounds like electronic or house? http://youtu.be/vtY9Thrm9X0
Got sort of a metal/hard rock sound to me, simulated screaming guitars and all. There is not really a “maybe” there at all.
There are other tracks that try to emulate more of a Rock feel and sound, so theres that.
Saying its always been house or electronic is just wrong, technically all game music before a certain point was electronic of course :P, but it often tried to sound like something else, limitations just got in the way of actually using real recorded instruments and music.
I will agree that the music has to suit a characters personality in some way, it wouldn’t feel right if it didn’t.
Its all about atmosphere, the same goes for stage themes in general. It might not be in the best interest of the game to have the music in one genre/style, have something that fits the background and the character associated if possible.
It’s just an opinion; you don’t need to back it up. Get over it. Did you know that opinions are not truth/fact because they are subjective? An argument over subjectivity is the most pointless thing you can do since everybody will have a different opinion. The more you defend your meaningless opinion, the more you will look like an idiot.
What are you trying to do anyway; just bash the music to make yourself feel superior about your opinion? A person that doesn’t give a shit about anybody else’s opinion, hence a mature person, will just blow you off as an arrogant ass.
What you need to realize is that people with opposing opinions will always oppose each other, so why bother arguing? Do you just want people to agree with you to validate your own opinion?
I hope they make a good soundtrack for this game and ramp up the presentation. Previous capcom fighters had awesome presentation and vibe to it before you even start the game. CvS1 had a cool techno feel to it, CvS2 had a tourney style presentation, alpha 3 had a modern feel to it compared to the older alpha games, 3rd strike had a hip hop and edgy style to it, MvC2 despite the horrid character select screen music had a jazz feel to it and SF4 had…bleh…
Can’t you read? Did I not say “Adon” right there in the exact post you quoted? Obviously I’m aware that there’s some tracks that would suit the metal vibe, but what was proposed was an all-metal soundtrack, which would be terrible for Street Fighter as the vast majority of characters just do not have themes that lend themselves well to metal.
No it wasn’t. If he simply was to disagree with me without attacking me then it would be an opinion (albeit shitty because as has been said he didn’t back it up). What he posted was an idiotic one-off troll comment so I responded in kind.
Heard that china stage music in that demo they showed during capcom cup. Straight trash…Ewww…I thought they could not go lower than SF4’s generic stage music, but they did…
Then again, there is still time for change shit since the game is still far away.
I too thought the music in the china stage was very generic. It’s only slightly better than SF4’s music but that’s not saying much. Hopefully it’ll improve.

I’m pretty sure I could ban @PSYCH0J0SH and @Magegg at this point and nobody would mind, but I won’t because I’m feeling nice. That said, as the rules say, you only get one-shot at another person.
I thought it sucked, it didn’t suit the pace of the game at all. It was too quiet, too sad-sounding and subdued. Really sounded like some placeholder shit. I hope it doesn’t make it to the final version.
