HD Remix’s OST is fucking ass. All the themes are awfully remixed, Cammy’s theme is boring, Bison’s theme is boring, Fei’s theme is too slow, Ryu’s theme is shit, Chun’s theme can’t even be saved by a remix, etc etc
Like I said - Ken and Akuma have the best themes. Just because of Ken’s theme awesomeness by default (still can’t believe how could Capcom fuck it up in SF4) and Akuma’s theme rhythm (which keeps you pumped in a fight against him)
Personally I think Ken’s theme sucks ass and the best SF2 theme overall belongs to Sagat.

Zangief’s HDR theme was the best version of his theme by far. Loved the record scratching. The rest of his themes sound they come from an 80s buddy cop movie.
Ryu’s HDR track is the best version of that particular theme. Hate his theme outside of that one.
The Ken reveal theme was so good such a shame that it probably won’t be in the game.

The thing is, most of these sound like they were made on a computer and scream artifice to me. There are few exceptions that have a ‘soul’ for lack of better word.
F.A.N.G’s reminds me of Christopher Walken in that Fat Boy Slim music video, so I’m a fan.
Sim’s reminds me of JoJo’s when they’re traveling through Egypt, so I’m a fan.
With Laura’s I think of shaking titties, so I’m a fan. Gief seems like they’re really trying to go with helping shape a new image for when thinking of Russia, along with the Iron Cyclone business. That’s not bad. There’s a couple instruments in there though that completely change what part of the world they’re trying to portray and I think that messes it up.
Fang’s reminds NOTHING the character. Sounds like relaxing beach weekend music. It’s a good, easy listening song, but doesn’t fit Fang AT ALL.
Laura’s, ok, this not even music. No melody, no nothing. Random drums with random instruments doing random noise. Stereotyped cliche on the intro, totally crap.
The remixes of Dhalsim and Zangief are cool, at least you can ‘see’ the character by listening to the songs.

Nope, don’t like none of 'em. This man ruined Zangief’s theme… Maybe I need to listen again, but it doesn’t even sound like the melody/instruments are on beat. It was actually better in SF4. Stage theme settings for me, all the way when it comes out. I wanna hear a clean version of the new stages we’re getting so we can get a good listen to those.
I really, really, really, REALLY hope they give us the option of choosing whatever song we wanna play for training stage, just in case people are scared and we are plagued with only going to that stage in tourneys. But my God, Hideyuki Fukusawa… I can only shake my head…

The stage themes are overall pretty good actually, not the best but they can be pretty darn good. The character themes are hit or miss with most of them being miss.
Extended Themes from India stage, Russia stage and Laura:
The title music was good, but everything else was pretty suck. The Karin stage particularly was very annoying after like 2 listens.
