Yeah I’m not liking some of the music. It’s a shame considering there are actual many talented composers and arrangers in the community. It’s criminal someone like DJ Kairu still hasn’t been given a show despite his track record.
IF capcom does decide to give us the option for customization i’m definitely gonna use some SFEX+@ ost.
i do like some of the themes so far but EX imo has better. I’ll even mix around some alpha2 too. Maybe a couple from alpha3.

This forgotten theme was used in Bison and Cammy’s Alpha 2 endings (at least). It’s a very sad and foreboding track.

Some melodies from EX series were good… but the instruments and the equalization were usually awful. Most of them sounds like Elevator Music.

“Spittin’ Narcissism” is a classic, though.
Many of the remixed original themes went full random since HD Remix. The songs don’t even reflect the personality of the characters… they are just kinda remixing them just for the seek of remix. That was amazing like… 8 years ago (Ocremix o/) but dude… I’m really tired of this.
It’s already the time to take the next step. Killer Instinct kinda ‘tells a story’ through the songs. You feel what the character represents, what he’s passing through in the current story, you understand his personality, his objectives, etc.
I mean…
Sadly, much of KI makes much of SF5 look amateurish, especially when you factor in the resources behind each game. KI is a truly inspired game.
Less is more in every sense of the word imo. Ki has great ost, sf5 has a good one too but ever since sf4 it’s been about 3 or 5 songs that really get you.

Mick Gordon should’ve been the one to do the ost for SFV. That man puts real love into the music, not some souless remix made in 10 minutes that doesn’t fit the character.
Still think SF4’s music was better.
