Some of the SF4 themes are alright (Honda, fei,Geif, sakura, dudley)
Excet for sakura’s I think those are some of the worst imo XD
Kanzuki estate is pretty ZZZZZ. I just don’t think it fits at all. The tracks for the first 3 revealed stages are good, but there’s still nothin equivalent to the catchiness of Jazzy NYC '99 or crazy chili dog. One thing that does bother me is track duration. You can NEVER hear a full track because they’re long enough that low health music kicks in before they can loop. In my entire time during the beta, I never once heard the entirety of the new Zealand stage music. It’s annoying because you end up listening to the same portion over and over and never get to hear the end. I think tracks should be way shorter like in 3S.
Music from the SF ex games were sick.
That’s owned by Arika too right??
The Brazil stage music is pretty good. They got it right all around with that stage.
I feel that all stage themes are going to be mediocre.
The Characters themes will probably be good though
Yes, but Ayako Saso and the rest of Magical Trick Society are freelance composers, as far as I know. They could theoretically do the music for this game… but that’ll never happen because talent is like kryptonite to modern Capcom.
Listened to EUA stage theme and OMG, it’s so boring T____T
What are you doing to the music of this game, Capcom? I just can’t understand, can’t find any reason for you to do this…
The Kanzuki stage song is already better than everything in SFIV. I really like the bass in the Metro City stage also and the build up after half way into the round. Brazil stage is pretty catch too. Has a very Tekken feel to it.
The other stages don’t really stand out for me music wise, but they still have more varied composition to them than the generic SFIV sounds. I hope nothing like SFIV training stage ever hits SFV.
You can’t be serious calling SF4 music generic and SF5 not.
I am. Just my opinion since aesthetics like music are all based on opinion any way.
Past that I do believe the SFV music overall is composed better than IV’s.
Problem is people exaggerating how bad the soundtracks are. Outright bad is an overstatement, like IV, V will be hit or miss with its soundtrack.
I think the China Stage, Metro City, Brazil Favela, Kanzuki Estate and the Main Menu have good soundtracks… the others so far are mediocre.
Like with SFIV, which had a lot of mediocre sounding stuff, but tracks like Drive-in Theater, Solar Eclipse, Overpass and Blast Furnace are still great.
Arguing over stage aesthetics/music seems almost redundant since everyone is just going to pick training stage to play on.
Again.
That’s their prerogative, I don’t do that. I always pick a stage appropriate to the character I’m fighting.
I may be wrong but isn’t there a part of Decapre’s theme in that Brazil stage’s music ?

I hope they took something out of Hakan’s theme for the desert stage.
For the moment, I like Forgotten Waterfall, Hiliside Plaza and Ryu/Ken’s theme. But I will wait until we’ve got the music without sfx to be critical. The only thing I’m sure of is the fact that the music will not be as good as Killer Instinct (Mick Gordon is a beast)
Brazil Stage definitely uses some of the melody we hear in Decapre’s Theme. Don’t know if it’s the same artist but if so it’s no surprise really.
Where are you guys hearing this? I can’t hear any of the music?

Second round of the first Karin vs Zangief match (starts at 18:10). That’s hard to hear it because of the commentators, characters’ voices and SFX but you can notice that [00:56;1:09] part of the Decapre’s theme.
The Russia music sounds really normal. Just a generic techno song (it’s a fucking steel wrestling ring inside a foundry, why wouldn’t you have some progressive metal in it or rock music or something)?
The Brazil music is funny though. It’s a party with fruit cocktails and soccer.
Sounds like this
Music is horrible in this game. Is there a way to play our own music tracks on PS4 like we did in PS3?
