Actually…Lance IS the rape weapon in MH3, most of the “pro” Monster Hunters aka the Japanese, and PSP vets say it looks like the best in this game.
As for me, I primarily use Long Sword not because it was the “uber” wep, because it was the first weapon I used and loved in MH (I started with the PSP ones).
Yeah Great Sword is awesome, I plan to stick to it for a long ass time so no switching for me nigga :lol:

I’m getting back into using GS(main lance. sub gunner, ls, sns). But it’s frustrating how rarely I can get a hit in on some monsters.
I want more weapons in the next home console MH(claws, whip, bow and arrow)

Seeing how things went last night, that’s gonna take a good while. It’s kinda like saying “wait until I get older than you”.
You really gotta work on getting a full set(preferably Barioth since you like LS). But you’re so close to high rank it might not be worth it to make a low rank set so late. For the time being you should switch to weapon that can guard, because you die. A lot.
For Agnaktor, if he pops only half his body out of the ground then he’s going to do a horizontal sweep with the laser. So either evade(with invincibility), leave the area or get right near him to avoid it.

Man I hate the friends IRL I play with. I work at a small game store here and we can play games when there’s not stuff to be put out or customers are in, so we play in there a lot. However, I’m always the one stuck up front who has to be able to pause. so I can’t play online. When another person who comes in who is able to watch the front, they’re like “Oh, well you can’t play with us since you’re HR8 and we’re HR34.” I wonder who the fuck’s fault that is. Not mine. Nope. I’m busy playing singleplayer while actually working, while you guys get to do gay ass HR30+ stuff. I fucking busted my ass to help them get to HR9 in Freedom Unite, yet they won’t do shit for me in Tri. Of course. Makes me want to fucking sell the game since playing it with randoms sucks even worse than playing against randoms in SSF4. “Oh hey, we’re fighting something easy. Oh,they died 3 times, when it’s almost dead. Of course.”
Yeah, invincible dodge saves you a lot, Agnaktor’s heat laser, Diablos’ underground charge and Rathalos’ diving big boot all come to mind. :lol:
Haven’t played this game in a bit as I got sucked into playing Oblivion (I was late to trying that one) but I was thinking I’ll log on tonight, still need to hit HR 30 for High Rank quests, I’m at like 27 or so.
Is the invincible dodge the diving fall forward? Which frames are invincible? Is the whole thing invincible?
Cuz I’m almost sure that I got hit by Diablo’s knees when he rushed me and I did the dive.
The more I play, the more I realize that defense is way more important than offense when playing online in a team.
I’m going to switch up my Sieglinde to Ravager Blade for the +12 Def boost

I can’t wait for 3rd portable. Tri was good but while it had more variety it was lacking in the stuff to kill department. 3rd portable fixes all of my complaints.
this game is looking really impressive so far. i just hope they go back to the Hunter Rank system from MHFU. i didn’t like having to do the same missions over and over just acquire the points i needed to unlock the urgent question in Tri. that plus a smaller selection of monsters = getting bored fast. oh yeah, def gotta have the MHFU farm back instead of the Tri version too.
oh you have come to find out like i did, that srk is all big talk about games, they just talk like they play but they really dont play at all. that is like 95% of the people that were on my psn list from srk, then i proceeded to delete them.

I just started playing this game. Could someone on here explain to me how to put Decorations in my weapon/gear Slots? My Bustersword+ Has a Slot and so does every piece of my Qurupeco Armor. I can not find a simple answer to how the Decoration/Slot system works in this game, it’s really annoying. I know that my gear has passive stats on them and that when they hit 10+ they activate, that’s about all I got from searching the internet.
like you said, to get an armor skill, that skill needs 10+ points to activate. if your armor and weapon have slots, you can gem them and add more skills. keep in mind that not all gems are the same. you collect gems by being awarded jewels after quests, finding them, or buying them. to get your armor gemed you go to that one grinch looking dude in every town, the guy that makes weapons and armors, and have him Decorate it.

What exactly are you trying to do? what skill do you want.
Like the guy mentioned, you go to the guy who sells armor and weapons and you have him make you a decoration, than you pay him again to attach that decoration. Once you have 10 points of a skill you get that ability. If you are starting out most of the armor has only a few slots so you gotta choose your decorations carefully.
