Well I’ve come a long way since my original post lol. I’ve gotten all the best armors, weapons, some good charms and have logged over 475-500 Hours; this game is so fun but I’m starting to run out of things to do at this point. I just hop online to check what events are up and do the ones I’ve never done before; I missed out on a lot of them since I haven’t been playing that long. Just did Rage Match and Animal Attractions for the first time the other day for my cool Black Leather Pants/HellHunter Jacket, now I just need to wait for Flooded Forest Free For All for the cool shades haha.
My goal was to learn how to play all the weapon classes but only once I got the best in each specific category, I was busy with that up until last night when I finally got Black Harvest SA. I’ll probably spend the next couple days learning SA before I get bored again. Had a lot of fun learning how to Hammer Alatreons head for Skypiercers, KO’ing monsters is so fun with HGEarplugs/Devil’s Crush §.
How many SRK’ers still play MH3? Did everyone import P3rd and move to that?
I still play a bit, now that school is out for winter break.
I got Alatreon Gleam a couple weeks ago… Mannnnnnn Lance is SOOOOOOOOO good.
I tried to learn to Gun, I’m not good at that. Lance is really easy to use and high damage. I have a Guard talisman, so right now I’m using Devijho Vangis full armor, with Guard +1 and Anti-Theft (came with the talisman)
I used LS before, but I don’t really like it. My main is still GS, but I take wayyyy less damage with Lance.
I tried World Eater twice, couldn’t beat it. People dropped. Hard to hit huge Jho. I saw on the youtubes that ppl beat World Eater with 4x gunner.
Yeah, I ran with a group of randoms for World Eater and we all gunned it; beat in 9 minutes lol. Pierce Shot 1/2 rape G.I.Jho but I’ve been having more fun doing Rage Match (Double Jho) than I ever did doing World Eater.
How do you still find things to do at 1000+ hours?! Lol, I’m at 500+ and I’m already getting pretty bored of the game. Tri is so limited on content compared to the portables sadly. I have everything but the only weapons that interest me are S.A, LS, GS, Hammer and Bowgun. SnS and Lance do not look fun, plus lances aren’t a good online weapon to use when playing with randoms.
I played a lot with friends and people from 4chan, which actually has a pretty good Monster Hunter community considering how shitty everything else on /v/ usually is. I also try to mix things up and use every weapon type and devise fancy looking armor set mixes that still manage to retain some decent skill sets.
I ran out of relevant things to craft a long time ago, but I still enjoy playing it just to help people. Unfortunately, the average player on Tri right now is not usually someone I want to waste my time helping so I have to search elsewhere for people to play with.
I would play Freedom Unite more but having played Tri it’s hard to go back to the old system.

I bought a Wii just for Tri but unless Nintendo figures out how to make a decent console and Capcom decides to not just phone in another rehash I’m not feeling it
360 port of Frontier doesn’t make to the U.S, Monster Hunter 4 on the 3DS and now Monster Hunter on the Wii U. Why doesn’t Capcom want me to support this series?
