Alrighty. Havent played since MHF from PSP. I know in that game Poison BattleAxe was easy to make and lasted you a long time. Anything of that caliber in this game? Preferably with Great Sword so I can get my skill up?

My copy finally arrived today. After work I’ll create my character and post up my info, though living in Hawaii I’m 3 hours being westcoats and 6 behind the east (depending on the time of year). So might be tougher to play with you guys, but hopefully we can hunt some shit together.

Im usually on late for some MH3. Sonic I see you online occasionally but ur usually in a full room so i cant join.
Yeah, I play at all different hours but never see you guys online (try sending friend requests whenever I log). Alpha managed to get Sonichuman, but that’s about it…when the fuck do you people play? 
Like I said in the Wii thread it’d probably help if we at least generally knew which server we were on. Me and Rioting Soul usually are in Open Valor 2 and probably will be tomorrow since I’m working the morning shift tomorrow and I got my SSFIV fix tonight. I WANT THAT DAMN LONG SWORD!

Great Sword is the shit.
So much fun to use. Switch Axe is pretty fun too but feels awkward as hell. It may be easier if you aren’t soloing but at the moment, it seems harder to get a good combo in.

Two things. One, I mock you with my Thunderclap. Look upon me with awe.
Two, Alpha had to go to work (so did I). We head out around 4pm our time because we work nights. Our usual hours of monster huntin’ are anytime between 2-6am, and 1-4pm.
In this case, completely different servers thanks to being in Europe 
(Can’t complain though since at least we aren’t having to pay for them)
Anyone else finding the lance to be really effective?
It basicly lets you stay in th monsters face all day, just hopping or countering when it attacks, only problem seems to be the walking speed combined with no one big hit for unsheathing with which makes it a pain when teaming against monsters that love to charge around a load, but imo just being able to keep consistantly poking everything whenever it stays on the spot for a while to attack makes up for that.

Honestly, I haven’t truly played this series since Monster Hunter 1 on the PS2, after that, all of those PsP releases and no PS2 release of MH2 really disappointed me alot. I played a little bit of the PsP versions…the Katana is now the “new” rape weapon and in MH3 it seems to continue that trend, because now I heard you can run with it, so I don’t see how that weapon will “truly” get outshine by the majority of other weapons.
They need to make the Lance more beastly again…like MH1 beastly, hahaha, I remember the good old days of being able to nearly headlock almost every monster with the BDS, and laughing at all of the people crying about me “cheating” with the HLing. However, I don’t own a Wii, so I’ll take a try on my cousins who has this game, it looks fun regardless.
