its actually from experience that my know it all isms come from
strange…most people i know that are actually for real don’t run their mouth.
I had 3 r rd kick boxing fights from when I was younger that went to decision. I won all by split when i had trounced the guys in all 3 rounds. Eventho I knew I had won the fight everytime I heard a judge score it for the 2nd guy I was like :wow: and cold sweats
anyone think Karo could be good at 155? He’s never been in shape and i know for awhile he didn’t really train for fights.
no ones running their mouth…you claimed something as a fact when its not a fact. you just dont always know when your winning when your in a fight. Why do you think fighters go back to their corner asking? their not always sure. especially in the case of rampage when the fight was close and that second round could have gone either way.
I guess we got our co-main event for the SRK Ring Rage event.
It is not that serious, folks.
^_-;
lol theres no e-thuggery here
lol where is Songa and FPStud??
anyone have any schools hosting any week long training camps?
I finally moved up to ADVANCED Muay Thai! YOSH! :woot:
congrats bro.
so apparently their doing a bjj test at my school next week or the week after. i may try it…i cant remember throws for shit…especially since i have to know the japanese names. lol im just kinda sick of seeing kids with stripes who i tap out weekly…time to get my shit together.
Belts are just good to keep your pants up lol, but serious question if you say you can tap them out so easily why is the belt important?
feels like i should have sumtin for bein there for so long. i always miss the test cause the main school is an hour ish away. This is the first time the tests at our school. plus i think it would be a nice way to gauge myself technically wise…since everyone will prob try to be really on point wit rolling since a belts on the line.
heres a kinda oddball question…so one of the tkd teachers(female) is close to getting her blue belt. now do i not compare myself to her cause she’s a female? she’s won naga’s in her division in jersey and locals, but because she’s a female do i ignore that fact and are better off comparing myself to the guys?
makes alot of sense to me.
Compare yourself to guys your weight. I have never seen a woman in BJJ who could challenger a guy her size and rank. Its just different. I think when you spar against a girl your size you should drop them a rank in your head to get a comparable view of where they are compared to you. Mysoginistic? Maybe, but that seems to be the way things work.
i’m pretty sure “uhhhh do you even fight duuuurrr i’m an internet troll” is running your mouth. The fight wasn’t that close if that was the reaction from not one…but both fighters. But i could see how alot of people in the UFC have no idea whats going on in the fight…fuck the annoucers don’t even know whats going on. How many times have i heard rogan going “well so that’s a take down, but he didn’t do anything, so do they score it on the take down or the escape”
What’s your opinion on the matter? Do you score it more heavily on the takedown or the escape, considering that nothing happened after the takedown? Assuming the takedown wasn’t a slam or something, but more of an ankle-pick kind of thing.
Also for those that were asking about the contract, it’s actually a paid athlete contract apparently. Most of it is just legalese shit that covers the basics: don’t talk shit about the organization to the media, my obligations to them (showing up on weight etc, making myself available for promotions), their obligations to me (promoting me, for the most part. finding me fights, etc). Rules against doping, medical testing and notification of illness/injury, travel (they organize and pay for, but I am responsible for my visa/other travel docs). Termination of the 1 year contract can be done within 14 days if I choose.
For the most part, it’s just one large CYA (Cover Your Ass) document. I’ll talk to the promoter more tomorrow to verify what exactly some of the terms mean, because it sounds as though they’re paying me. If that’s the case, it doesn’t sound half bad to be honest. Their terms are more than fair, just looking over these documents.
Toby Imada just likes spoiling finals for tournaments
