lol you dont always know if you’ve won or lost when your in a fight…have you ever been in a fight? like of any form…its usually not as cut and dry like you want.
I love how some people are claiming Lyoto got robbed. Theres no way that was even close to a robbery. Like most sane people, I had Rampage up 2 rounds before the 3rd. The fight was Rampage’s or at least a draw. But it seems only the Aussie judges give 10-10 rounds.
Another thing. Before this fight, no one was really giving Rampage a chance. I never wanted him to run into Machida because stylistically I thought it would be terrible. But he came in with the right gameplan and didn’t let Lyoto tee off on him and run away. He pressed the fight the whole time and was landing shots. People don’t give Rampage enough credit. A fight with Shogun would be epic. And I wouldn’t even mind a fight with Rashad again, as long as Rampage wins.
Karma is very funny. This is what Lyoto said today…

Lyoto didn’t do this for Shogun at all. I’m so glad Dana has influence on match making because if someone gets robbed he’ll usually give them the rematch. Had Dana not said anything Ed Soares would’ve been looking to fight someone else and not even give Shogun the rematch. Just like he’s been doing with Vitor the past year. He even turned away a fight with KenFlo and Aldo before the merger was official. I fucking hate that guy, especially since he likes to come off as the “good guy”.

That’s a cute spin on Rampage’s admission. However to humor you, even if I put stock in your post it implies that you believe in the numbers more then whatever standards he sets for himself…yet the numbers you posted point to Machida winning.
Lyoto causes more drama than any other fighter i’ve seen so far in the UFC. Two fights that end in either “that motherfucker got ROBBED!!!” or “Machida dont deserve that shit!!!”
The Fightmetric system still says Rampage won the first 2 rounds. As far as round 3, It was all Lyoto, but I’ve seen worse rounds in other fights where they didn’t score it a 10-8. Not to mention in that round Lyoto threw no strikes while he was in top position, did little in mount besides attempt an armbar. Once he saw Rampage stand up and realized he was part Japanese he got the fuck out of there. And didn’t Rampage end the round on top of Lyoto?

Maybe I’m just new to this and confused, but doesn’t that sort of make it not amateur? I mean I know waivers and releases and that sort of stuff, but a contract seems kinda strange to me.

Did Parisyan get cut? MMAWeekly said that Dana thinks he cant perform on the UFC level anymore, but didnt say if he got cut or not. And Dana isnt cutting Tyson even though he lost 3 in a row and hasnt won in over a year.
parisyan’s stoppage was super early, but whatevs.
and the fight metric pretty much backs up what everyone who actually paid attention to the fight saw. rampage was more aggressive and landing more shots in the first 2 rounds, even getting a takedown in r2, whereas machida dominated r3. if this was japanese style scoring then machida wins easily, but machida would probably also get a yellow card for doing laps around the cage as well.
