Gsp is gonna get tired of people calling him a pussy and I think he already is because he recently made comments where he admitted to fighting SUPER safe. He talked about going to a sports shrink and shit and is trying to work himself back to taking risks.
Theres always a chance he takes that risk and gets creamed, no one at welterweight is better at using small opening to finish than NBK. GSP has to fight perfect for 25 minutes or he’s going down imo, personally I think he’s going down but only time will tell.
BTW I picked GSP in every other fight except this one so I’m not hating on him just my opinion.
GSP is getting the shitty end of the stick w/ fans as of late (well, 'cept from chicks, of course), but you can’t blame him but so much. The last time he took major risks (and underestimated anyone), he got creamed by Serra. He came back on fire against Hughes III, completely wrecking shop. But he’s so far above Hughes in every level imaginable, you could call that bout “safe” just the same.
The guy has huge endorsements, an entire positive persona sticking with him and a very clean, winning-man image. He may not go down as one of the most exciting fighters in the sport’s history, but he’s earned his place among top champions.
Personally, I still wanna see Diaz fight him. I think Nick has a strong chance as he pushes the pace and fights smart without being dull. Condit, I’m not so sure, but y’never know in this damn sport.
No man I get not taking stupid risks but GSP does even attempt to take easy risk that would finish fights. Only the most blind GSP fans can say he’s fighting the way a legendary champion should.
Him dropping Jake Sheilds with a headkick then just standing over him waiting for Jake to recover and get up was pathetic and he could have easily beaten Kos after the 1st but instead we had to watch him throw jabs for 18 more minutes than necessary.
Him having a positive persona had nothing to do with my argument and it seems like GSP use to excuse him fighting scared. He has the body of an Lion but fights like a pussy and THAT’s why he gets hate. I don’t care about hating him tho, I just want Condit to be champ because I’m a long time fan.
Rock you always want to sound smart but you say things that aren’t true. Kos won his last fight so how did GSP end his career?
I’m a huge fan of Jake sheilds but you are completely full of it if you think a totally rocked Sheilds was subbing him get serious.
Jake Ellenburger rocked him but had no problem going to the ground to finish him.

Rock I think you may be stupid if you think going to a decision when your opponent can’t see is badass. GSP started out strong and did a little damage then just sat on that damage the whole fight and that’s why some hate him ( not me).
though theirs a small bit of exaggeration it was a near career ending injury. it was so messed up the dude couldnt even get permission to fly, he had to drive all the way to boston for the surgery.
I never said he wasn’t injured I said the injury to KOS makes all the more reason why GSP should have pressed harder to finish him. To have a guy who’s face is falling apart and can’t see your attacks and your only throwing jabs? That’s why even GSP fans are wanting him to get more aggressive, because he could literally had a guy unable to really fight back and still didn’t commit to anything.

Gsp does damage is basically your post, well no shit but that’s not the point is it? The point was GSP wasn’t able to finish Dan fucking Hardy, Gsp decided to throw jabs at a man who was begging GSP to finish him, and GSP doesn’t have enough confidence in himself or his top game to finish a rocked guy who only gets subs from the on top and lack his teammates bottom games.

You guys are hella dense. I’m playing devil advocate here and saying there is plenty of reason behind GSP catching criticism and a reason why more and more people are putting him behind the other p4p fighters.

I don’t agree with them fully but the GSP bashers at least have SOME valid ( in my opinion) reasons to not cheer for him unlike Anderson,Edgar, and Jones bashers who just want them to lose for childish reasons it seems.

Nah I’m stubborn as hell, actually the main reason I come back to this thread is the flaming. I’m steadfast in my opinions to a fault sometimes so if you challenge me your gonna get a reply unless you can prove me wrong without a doubt.

You’re not gonna get too much of an argument from me on that note, man. I was bitching about the same thing w/ Georges’ current method of winning bouts these days and still do. Granted, he’s a technician in the truest sense, but his killer instinct appears to have flown out the window now.
I’m not saying what he’s doing is RIGHT (or wrong), just saying WHY he’s doing it, that’s all.
