edit: I don’t think that’s a very good fight for Diaz truthfully. At least it shows he’s willing to fight. If he can beat BJ, maybe he’ll get some respect. Probably not though, cuz BJ’s just a lightweight emirite

He definitely always comes to fight, and I think they realize that love or hate him, people like to watch him (either to hope he comes and uses his brawl tactics, or to hope he gets decapitated :lol:)

B) Gets to fight on the main card
C) Possibly 1 fight away from his title shot again

For sure, he’s very lucky. He got pulled from the hands of boxing as soon as he threatened to go over to make more money, and then he pulls this shit, and is still co-main eventing? Dana must be crushing on him almost as hard as I am.
It’s pretty funny to say that he can’t handle main event action, seeing as he’s mostly fought in main-event fights over the past few years. :lol:

Nick’s an exciting, talented fighter, so I like him. I wouldn’t want my daughter dating him, though. 
He can handle it, he just has to grow the fuck up and realize that there is more to a huge fight than just the fight itself. No one is asking him to come to a press conference dressed up in an expensive suit, sign 10000000 autographs, and talk to journalists/media outlets for 10 hours. Im sure Dana told him he could show up in shorts and a shirt, didn’t need to have long educated answers to questions, then leave right when it is over.
I will ride the Nick Diaz warwagon till the wheels fall off because he is one of the most entertaining fighters out there… but he has some serious social issues he has to get over.
He’s severely underrated cuz he’s annoying. Losing to big ass monsters doesn’t automatically make him shit like people try to make him out to be. Huge Nog fan, but he’s in the twilight of his career. Mir by TKO in the first round again.

diaz isnt lucky…the ufc is. the reason the ufc plucked him from boxing is cause of how popular he is. think of the potential shit storm if he switched over to boxing. ufc likes to promote the fact boxing is dead and the fans are coming over to ufc. buuuut if diaz a top 10 fighter switches over, then fans might slow their rolls. i potentially see prep-time dana actually has a plan on killing boxing for mma.
now personally…i like diaz vs bj as a better fight than diaz vs gsp. Maybe its just me, but diaz hasnt grapple fucked anyone since gomi really. And bj hasnt grappled fucked anyone in years. Their both good on their feet…lately more diaz than bj. So this potentially could be super dope…their both guys who go for the kill. dont try to decision their way through when things get rough unlike gsp. I think this is far more interesting.
plus condit vs gsp is super interesting since condit really does go to fuckin hurt people. man he’s like the skinny version of a pride fighter. watch his japanese stuff dude basically curb stomps niggas. he will hunt down gsp…i dunno if hes gonna win or lose…leanin more towards lose. im a condit fan since his early wec days…so im def excited for both these matchups.

its more the potential, ive heard alot of mma fighters dancing wit the idea of goin to boxing but becuse of exclusive contracts they couldnt. imagine if a slew of strikeforce guys tried to get sum diaz money. its not gurenteed loss but the potential to fuck up dana’s prep-time plan for world domination is still there. this is why he’s not fired right now…plus he can go to another promotion. make sum good money there too.
i dont think dana chose gsp vs nick because of fans but because he saw the danger of diaz leaving. if he loss, mma rep has alot to lose…if he won and stayed away they have some to lose. its just easier to give diaz the fight he wanted…not what the fans wanted.
its not even just diaz and boxing…zuffa has pressured non exclusive guys in strikeforce to not do events outside of strikeforce. josh barnett recently commented on zuffa pressuring him to not to a prowrestling match he was scheduled for recently.
Who do you guys have in Bendo vs. Guida anyway I’m completly neutral on this fight as I’ve been a fan of both guys almost as much as Condit. This is great time for me to be a MMA fan as guys people made fun of me for believing in are now top 5# contenders. LOL suck on that douchenuggets.
I pretty sure Jose Aldo will lose more rounds than people think in his upcoming title defenses. I found out he has been getting surgery and whatnot. That is gonna make him less effective imo as his style depends alot on his athletism as well as skill yes but to many surgeries will effect his overall game. See how Shogun has turned out champ then not good then crap then Great then okay ugh. Inconsistency is the main syndrome of injuries in MMA.
I hope not because Jose is pure awesome bt I have seen this before and it all starts like this. It will be really hard to hang onto that belt with guys like Tyson Griffen ( underrated) dropping down in weight.
This could be a win win for the UFC. If GSP destroys Condit… err… well I mean lay on top/pitter pat jab him for 5 rounds (which will probably happen), and Diaz puts a beatdown on BJ (much more unlikely scenario) then the casual UFC people who didn’t know who Diaz was could be much more hyped for a GSP-Diaz fight… making it bigger than it originally was. Condit’s stock isn’t gonna get much higher than it is right now either.
Either way I love Diaz and Condit… 2 of my favorite WW’s. BJ and Diaz are 2 of my favorite fighters in general so im kind of torn for this fight… I probably like BJ a little more but Diaz stands a much better chance against GSP.

shogun slowing down has nothing to do with his surgeries…it has to do with the fact hes literally 45 in mma years. he’s gone to wars at a young age that it wears him down. surgerys didnt do it, physical therapy actually conditions the body to be better than it was before the sugery. but it doesnt have the other lingering injuries/issues that cant be solved through surgery and conditiong. body just breaks down and you gotta roll wit it.
this is coming from someone whos been doin martial arts since 7…i got alot of injuries i gotta just man up on. plus i currently had surgery for acl/mcl/mensicus destruction.
DO you honestly think you as good as you were before tho? I’ve done Tae kwon do and boxing but would never claim to be or know about injuries so many I’ve trained with say they are worse for ware
im still recovering…but i can tell you now i’ll be better. the conditioning they got me doing has made me alot stronger already. my knee hasnt healed completly yet but i can feel it stronger. to say your worse from the surgery means they didnt follow their pt’s lesson plan and bailed early. if you dont give yourself enough time to heal and come back early…you screw everything up.
theirs some ufc fighter who recently was on the last ppv. they said he had acl surgery tried to train too early and fucked up his recovery time.
I hope your right and I hope your become stronger than fucking ever. But back on topic I still think Jose can only fight like that for so long without getting hurt. How many flying knees until he gets caught and slammed on his arm shogun style?
