So I have alot to catch up on here.
Nick Diaz: Dude has to be one of the luckiest guys in the UFC roster. He fucks up enough to lose a title shot and gets a pre-main event fight? Lucky ass. Mayhem is probably at home laughing his ass off.
Condit/GSP: This fight is going to be alot more competitive than most people think. Condit is probably the second best striker GSP has fought so far (first being Thiago Alves.) Dont expect to see Condit getting the blanket treatment without GSP taking a couple of shots. And since Jackson is completely out of this fight, its gonna be interesting to see how they both approach this fight. Condit via KO/TKO round 3.
Diaz/Penn: Diaz has alot to offer in this fight. BJ is pretty much ready to take on Diaz in a stand up fight but I would rather see who has a better ground game between the two. Diaz via decision.
Reem/Lesnar: The second best possible test for the Reem’s debut match in the UFC. Reem has to work on his TDD, cardio, and, if any, strength difference between them. If Reem doesnt gas hard and can keep Lesnar in the clinch/stand up, its Reem 100%. Lesnar needs to learn how to take a goddamn punch because one crack from Reem and Lesnar goes into bboy mode again. And the lay off is going to be a bitch for Lesnar. Reem via total destruction round 1.
Mir/Nog II: Fuck Mir and his “amazing” stand up he says he has. That stupid 3 punch combo ending with a telegraphed uppercut he always uses is so wack but its enough to get the W. If Nog can get takedowns, he can probably win this fight. But as much as I hate to say it, Mir via TKO round 2. Fuck Frank Mir btw.
I’m 80% sure i’m going to get this wrong but hell, it wont hurt to try to go against GSP for the 2nd time :lol:
Only way I can see GSP losing is if he mentally crumbles without Jackson in his corner. But if he stays mentally tough, he’ll do what he wants with Condit. That’s the interesting thing though, you KNOW Condit will bring it and stay mentally in the game for 5 rounds even with a new corner setup. I can’t say I’m 100% sure GSP would do the same thing after watching Jackson have to talk him through a groin strain and an eye poke in two different fights. If he sustains some random injury and Jackson isn’t there to psychoanalyze him on the fly, Condit could pull this off.
Otherwise yeah, Condit’s probably the second best striker and the second best grappler that he’s faced, at the same time. So I’m interested to see which road GSP goes down for this fight.

it could be very interesting…im not saying for sure condit is gonna beat gsp. but i do think it will be competitve. condit is dangerous on the feet and off his back. plus this fool got kenflo elbows lol. he has better bjj than gsp…i dunno bout his wrestling though. it seems good, obviously its not gsp level.

GSP is still a beast. Condit is going to be a much harder fight than Diaz in my opinion.
To give GSP a break in the Shields fight, he had to keep it standing with one eye. If he went to the ground it probably would have been ggpo. He kept looking for Shields to make the shot and Shields took advantage of that.
Since you’re quoting, I’ll go really far out here and say BJ beats Diaz.

If GSP gets rocked or injured in any way NBK will win this fight. Carlos has some of the best killer instints in the game. If your legs hurt they getting chopped, your ribs gon get kicked if they hurt too. Gsp has to fight perfect in the first round then play off his advantage on points to beat Condit. The more Carlos is down the more dangerous he is like Leben but without the getting rocked nonsense.
Carlos needs to make GSP take some risks. Thats it. Hurt him early, make GSP fall behind on the cards and have to get aggressive then punish him. When GSP goes for that Supaman…flying knee his ass! A jab fest won’t work on NBK and I think GSP knows that.
The main reason this fight is interesting is one bad mistake by GSP and the impossible will happen a second time. While GSp is known for being SO perfect for SO long.
