i’m starting to really like elf…i use juri & adon as my mains but i use ibuki, hakan, and now i’m starting to use elf as a sub also to go along with hakan & ibuki.
elf is really really fun to use:)
but i kept getting blown up when people jump in on me since i have no idea which anti-air normal is the most reliable one.
Be aware that sometimes the best option is to EX Run on a jump in and picadillo jump/stop and block.

and its basically clHP xx qcf+p, lp(Sudden Stop) clHP. Run Stop Fierce is literally landing a close fierce, canceling to run, stopping and linking close fierce.
on that note I still have a notation about Sudden stop being a 1 frame stop. yuck.
When SUPER came out there was a mistranslation on a battle log stating Sudden Stop was made quicker(1 frame). It took months of yelling and nonexistent combos to correct that error.
To this day I’ll still get aspiring Fuertes or opponents ask if Sudden Stop is still one frame. :throwsachair:
btw, RSF combo is NOT easy to do. waaaaay harder than i anticipated it would be.
that is, not if you are trying to do it well.
in general…elf is NOT an easy character at all. his moveset isn’t hard…but putting it all together to get your wins is a different story altogether. sorta reminds me of Guy in that respect.
i respect guy and el fuerte players.
but no one gets my respect more than vipers coz viper, to me at least, is an enigma wrapped in an enigma.

so after months of discussion, the “official srk tier list” (http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/2845/tierlist14.png) is out. i’m seeing weird numbers for fuerte, and after a few wasted minutes trying to look through the 400 pages of pointless cammy/seth debates, i’m asking you guys : the match-up honda-fuerte is listed as 5-5. what the hell ? i main rose and second fuerte, and this match-up is definitely my worst, both chars combined. am i missing something ? honda just looks like a big wall, sitting here and waiting for a chance to ex-headbutt me into oblivion.
el fuerte honda? hmmm I believe in my limited opinion its 5.5 - 4.5 to honda, honda is a wall all right but el fuerte madness is too fast for him to grasp. if you read honda fuerte can rape him
I was talking to Sanford and several other players. Many said “El Fuerte is Random” Sanford was the only one who disagreed. He disagreed without second guessing either. “Fuerte is not random. You just have to make a lot of good reads and know your shit”
crLP. once that hits either do 1-2 more then throw out a far MP if they’re pressing shit buttons. buffer run. if it hits counter hit, run slide. crLP (chain) stLK (link) crMK xx run away/mixup is more damaging then crLPx3-4.
Also. Just in case you guys havent realized: after a tortilla. dash once, jump forward. if you take a minuscle step forward before jumping it will be a very ambiguos crossup with jHP.

It’s good to note that c.MK xx super works at max range but only with LK super (I actually didn’t know this for way too long).

It’s a good easy link and decent counter hit set-up.
Speaking of counter-hit setups, if you are going for what you listed above - a string that pushes you back into far MP range and fishing for counter hit s.MP xx Run (confirm) slide, you can just substitute Gordita Sobat (qcf+P,MK) for the run. It’s safe on block, and adv on hit, although the string is interruptable (not sure of the numbers off hand).
It’s worth noting though that if you are trying to be super-human or sirlin and slow down time or w/e, the third option would be looking for that MP to just hit (non counter) or block, either case you probably want to just stop. On hit the best possible adv off MP run stop off MP is uh…around +7? But you should be too far anything substantial. On block closer to +4 same applies.
My favorite combo of far LP, c.MK has been removed as of like Super or AE sigh.
