I’m pissed at you stupid players that have been sending me hate mails and leaving insults via visitor messages. Usually they’re bitching about how I’m giving away secrets on how to beat fuerte.
You could have said that before. And if they are bitching about beating Fuerte, let them bitch because that means they’re relying on the opponents inexperience against Fuerte but they’ll get one hell of a wakeup call when they play a person who knows the matchup inside and out.
edit: also the ones with negative comments are more vocal so it would seem like there’s more people on the negative side when that’s really not true 
If they’re bitching about losing to you, that means you’re doing it right. You know, if you’re so ticked off about the whole Safe Tortilla thing, why don’t you go ahead and send the post to me if you happen to have it saved on your computer. Maybe we can do something to break it down.

Will be awesome if you guys get that safe tortilla thread back, since I am sure a lot of the newer Fuerte players will benefit from it. It might be common sense to us who have been here for a while, but its clearly not the case with everyone. Also, people understand things in different ways, so a more complex approach like Paper’s could work better for some people rather than a simple one (and vice versa).
@Paper: There are always going to be some haters out there, so don’t be discouraged and keep in mind that there are many of us who fully appreciate your work

There are no ‘ways’ to beat Fuerte. There are counters to his attacks, but you have to know what attack he’s going to use. It’s not like Paper was posting an insta-win strat for players to abuse against Elf, he just explained what counters what, which is something that can be found on every player-specific sub-forum on SRK.
Actually, telling others about our weaknesses will only make us better. If we can overcome those weakness, the info we give them becomes irrelvant and they have to find out how to beat us again. The metagame will continue to grow.

This. There have been times where something more complex will be understandable and other times where something simpler does the trick. Primarily, it works best with how you learn.
It’s not obvious, but learning how to counter a counter is invaluable.
I think it’s best that a video is made to demonstrate the Safe Tortilla.
Pretty sure N0thingman’s Akuma match up video briefly demonstrates safe tortilla.
I dont see a reason why the beating el fuerte thread wouldnt be helpful. Do you really want your wins to be because the other guy didnt know anything? If anything that only holds you back. And like kuma said if we know what they’ll try to exploit we can easily counter that.
let them watch videos like the rest of us
They may not exactly get whats going on, fuerte isnt as simple as that. All im saying is that id rather lose to someone who knows the match up, knows the gimmicks, then beat some guy who clearly had no idea what he was up against
whats there to understand? run, stop, gimmick, splash, tortilla, run away, taunt, run, slide, etc. Use the brain you were born with, or watch other peoples gimmicks and use them.
Do you really think thats all there is to a fuerte match up? Theres plenty to understand, if what you said was true then fuerte would be top tier because that looks like a pretty unbeatable flowchart. And i still dont get why anyone has a problem with the thread, is the only reason you can win because your opponents dont know the match up? I have no problem telling somebody whats safe and unsafe because i would expect somebody to tell me something about their character in return, true skill is out playing your opponent not winning because he didnt know run slide was unsafe.
True skill is when a player can react to your playstyle, it doesn’t take a genius to know not to get knocked down if your fighting fuerte.
I can see why papar doesn’t contribute to the forum anymore and why I stopped posting, people don’t understand us. I respect your opinion though, your entitled to it.
Y’know that Paper was the one who created the Beating El Fuerte thread, right? Seems like you’re the one who doesn’t understand him.
Also, you feel like you shouldn’t post because people don’t agree with you? Lol. Sorry, but unless you’re TKD or Kai, we’re not all going to sit around holding hands waiting for you to share unquestionable wisdom with us.

I’m against the thread he created but I agree with his attitude towards sharing information, what good is it if people are just going to mock you.
Comparing myself to TKD (our god and savior) or Kai is retarded but I’m pretty sure I have as much knowledge of the character than the average fuerte player if not more. On a side note, I don’t post because you just proved my point.

Alright guys, everyone needs to relax. this forum is for us to get better and at least share tips and get some improvement. as long as things arent repeated twice then everything should be fine. stop trying to be the “better” player by talking shit to other ones, that just makes you look like a moron. Just be the best you can be and improve, no point of criticizing someone else’s game, what a waste of breath, and just get better on your own time.
