Any recommendations for modern action movies? I like the ones involving urban settings and things like triads, etc. I’ve seen Flashpoint, was hoping for more of that. Ideas?

The Man From Nowhere (kind of like Taken meets Oldboy?)
District B13 part 1+2 (French action, with Parkour playing a nice role)
KillZone (Donnie Yen, Jacky Wu Jing and Sammo Hung)
City of Violence (Basically what the title says)
Tom Yum Goong (The Protector, really good stuff)
Also check out stuff with Chow Yun Fat. Dude is pretty much the king of “Heroic Violence”. Tons of gun fights andwhat not. Anyway this list will get you started.
I’m just curious if he still has some flair. Because he was a bigger guy (seems to still be kind of big) and was qucik as well. He reminds me of an old Feng Wei, lol.
Just a random thought. I remember back in college for my English class’ final project I did it on martial arts movies. I used a scene from the original Drunken Master, Kung Fu Hustle and Ong Bak. Needless to say I got an A on my project, lol.
If you want hard hit modern times then you need step back & watch HK cinemas in the 80s-90s.

in other news, china/hk turned gay. their martials arts movies are worth less than shit nowadays. guess thailand and indonesia will be the ones making the better martial arts films in the future. (their movies are already better than most of the china/hk garbage).
p.s. china/hk movies died out when chan left for the us and jet li stopped making good movies. it reminds me how nelly killed the rapgame, and how every bitch out there can supposedly rap nowadays. the chinese and japanese both remind me of emo little bitches nowadays, both need some bitchslaps to wake up and stop that oestrogens rage they on.
