DKC = OVERRATED! The most overrated series of all time = Donkey Kong Country…
So, definetly not greatest. Soundtrack though is a solid B maybe B+.

Yeah, DKC = win. Anything Rare made before Grabbed by the Goulies = win.

LOL. Eh… I don’t really care that much about Soccer though… so I guess I was content to let that derailment train go in the hopes of something more interesting and my plan has worked perfectly! But I see your point. And I defend this country’s women plenty! Or at least my wife and daughter… and I think I’m nice to the women I have in my classes…
But this DKC conversation I think has more potential. I am firmly in the anti DKC camp, but for me its the entire series.

Rare was probably the most prolific 2nd party developer during the SNES/N64 era.
Battletoads! I’m still trying to beat that game almost 20 years later, LOL.
All the things left out of the 3DO version of ST always irked me (especially since the 3DO was so expensive). I mean, I understood why they left out frames of animation on Super for the SNES, with the limitations of cartridges. But 3DO was one of the first CD systems, there should have been plenty of space for Old version characters and every single animation. Was it a question of limited RAM?
DKC 2 is in my list of top three games ever made. It’s just full of win in every way possible.
DKC1 and DKC3 tie for second best in the series. I’d love DKC4 at some point, but that’s… unlikely 
Best Rare game is Perfect Dark, followed by Goldeneye. Random note: I’d KILL for a remixed Street Fighter Alpha 3 over XBLA with full online. Are people playing it much on this GGPO thing?

Battletoads is awesome. Does anyone remember the crossover game with Double Dragon? That stuff was not easy!
I love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches too. It’s especially good on Japanese white bread with the crust cut off. Japanese white bread is kind of like Wonder Bread only its real. Not a big fan of tuna sandwiches though, but a sardine sandwich with toasted bread and avocado is the broken tier of broken tiers!

What soured you on DKC so much? You should revisit it - especially 2.
All the battletoads games were fuckin hard, but that one was virtually unbeatable without cheats. The Arcade version of Battletoads (incredibly rare to find in arcades back in the day) deserves an XBLA release. Shit was awesome.
It had to have been. The PS1 had the same issue (the VS games had the Tag feature removed and Alpha 3 had missing animation). That and the 3D0 was just a shit system :lol:
