None of that stuff is incompatible with playing Street Fighter. I know because I’ve been through/am going through it (and I know other SF players who are/have).

He’ll probably be back. 90% of people who “quit” magically resurface later on. Most players who never come back don’t announce their departure (or have friends posting departure PR).

I already said this, we need to tier PB&J’s before we annoint them to some status when not all PB&J’s are made the same.
You want to know what soured me on DKC? Monkeys and bananas… that’s what did it… oh that and I have the deepest hatred of Donkey Kong since all things Donkey Kong arcade… that’s why its the most hallowed video game record in existence… damn you you damn dirty ape! Go take you, your grandpa, your cousin, his girlfriend, and whatever other stupid monkey character Nintendo can whip up and jump back into getting your rear kicked properly by a 7 year old smash player.
I must say that the DKC series easily has the most legendary 16-bit soundtrack. I vividly remember playing the first water level one day as a kid and pausing the game in sheer amazement of the music (aquatic ambience ftw). I really think DKC games (specifically DKC2) had the best atmosphere of any platformer. The gameplay wasn’t as unbelievably amazing as say Yoshi’s Island or Super Mario All Stars, but the gameplay was still excellent.

Also, Cammy’s theme is superior to every other theme in SF2 series followed closely by the HDR title music (should’ve been Ken’s stage theme) and Guile’s original SF2 theme. Zangief’s HDR theme is an honorable mention.
^Wow, that is pretty badass. I have to agree, DKC does have some of the greatest music in the 16-bit era. Also, Cammy’s theme FTW. Gief’s theme is badass as well (the original, not the HDR…I didn’t like that one). You have good taste my friend!

Battletoads is pretty tough but honestly, if you practiced it for a fraction as you have HDR, you’d be running circles around it. I’ve beaten the Genesis version as well as Battlemaniacs and Battletoads & DD on SNES. Haven’t gotten around to 1CCing the arcade version either. The NES version of Battletoads seems to be the hardest because the controls are completely unforgiving. We need more games like that today.

That was a mashup done by someone else…Norwegian Recycling is the guy (or group?) who did it; there’s actually a whole album like that, it’s called Donkey Business. Most of the songs are pretty cool IMO.

Battletoads… Ghosts n Goblins… I took an entire summer and spent it on those two games. By the end, my best run in Battletoads was beating it with 1 life loss and Ghosts n Goblins with 3 lives lost. Those games were RETARDEDLY difficult. I almost cried after I killed the last boss in Ghosts n Goblin. “This was all an illusion! start from beginning” or some shit. Ugh. Just… ugh. Then a friend showed me some code you could put in and skip levels and he “beat” the game in about 3 minutes. I was pretty pissed
Megaman always felt so easy after playing those 2 games.
