and I guess I need to clarify THIS copy/paste is from the SRK Tournaments and Events thread:
Bonus $500 for 1st place in
SFAE
UMVC3
Bonus $250 for 1st place in
MK9 (minimum 16 players required for bonus $$$)
KOFXIII
Persona 4 Arena
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (minimum 16 players required for bonus $$$)
So THAT is the correct one.
Which means to ask, why is this being brought up? I hope someone is not trying to insinuate I only paid out because Marcus and Majin did not show up on time; Milln had the extra $250 the whole time, ran KOF, created the brackets, put Majin and Marcus in the brackets, DQed them from Winners and Losers when they did not show up (they were at least 1:15 late) but this is all besides the point everyone knew it was paying out an extra $250. I’m NOT happy about paying $250 extra for 9 man tournament but it was NOT required to have 16. I am sure Richard is going to post because he made an error but LOL for “paying extra money” and being called out about it!
Yeah, the Facebook post was an error on my count. When we were originally trying to figure out which games were going to be a “16 minimum” I left the bottom line as it was because I was going to go back and put Asterisks in. It should have read:
So this was my bad. I don’t see how it plays into anyone’s anything, since Jason had to pay out of pocket $250 on a 9 man tournament, but what are you guys getting at with the above post? Also, Not sure how someone 1:15 late to a tournament has clout to call out a TO for payout on a tournament he didn’t make it to that JASON HAD TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR. It’s not like you guys called someone already there an hour and 15 minutes in advance and were like “Hey man, how many people in the bracket so far this early? 0? Right on, we’ll be skipping KOF because there is no bonus money payout”.
If you guys have issues with the way things are typed up, you can direct them toward me and I’ll do what I can to answer those questions, but to call someone out for handing out money to someone other than you is weird.
That;s not putting TN on blast, that’s shitting on our shoes.
If anyone talks to that guy, let him know that what he is doing with that video is counterproductive to what we are trying to do here with bringing in new blood.
Attention folks those of you listed below are people that have items at my house I would like to return to you before I leave in Nov. So get at me if you can
Abe- Warhammer 40k book
Dax- Catherine PS3
Squab- Ico/Shadow of the Colossus
Usually I would just bring these items to fight night…but yeah we know how that has gone. Just shoot me a message either here or by phone and I will make sure to get these things back to you.
Dude… Happy Medicine just gave me another reason to get good at this game. So I can beat his ass in tournament one day. I won’t be free for too much longer. I’d like to see how good he was after 8 months of playing fighting games. Come on Tennessee… Let’s level up.
Guys if anything is an indication that this “real talk” isnt “real talk” its when he says that SFxT is the best game since 3rd Strike and how awesome it was watching Justin and Ricky play each other in the finals at the 25th anniversary tournament. Starting at 10:55
What I was referencing was way before when he filmed. Than he changed what he said into what he said in that video.
Kinetik definitely. How do I know? He mentioned in the video about going to Logans Roadhouse and he said you were there. It definitely wasn’t me (I was at home when they filmed this but I was at Logans with them that night) and the other two there besides Kinetik and jakob were kinetiks friend (who doesn’t play FGs) and Wootsick (also definitely not the one talking). So yeah
Also, when he ranted about the “hogging the setups” saying we should feel honored to play him really irritated me. The entire weekend that i was with him he was going on and on about how good he was and how every top.player besides Dieminion ans infiltration was beneath him etc. Etc.
Really irks me about top players as how full of themself they can be and how Hollywood everyone makes them. Can’t be helped I guess.
It’s literally next door to the huge Al Chymia Shriners building on Shelby Oaks. They have approximately 2400 square feet of space, plenty of tables and chairs, etc. They have enough space to run their own event and still be able to fit several setups without major issue. The owner is open to hosting fight night under the usual terms: $5 per head, we bring our own equipment, 6PM til ???/close.
Good central location, plenty of space, close to multiple food places, it’s also right off I-40. Concessions etc. only issue is that we may need a couple extension cords but that’s it.
I know we have been having issues, mostly location related in the recent fight nights until New Gen closed, but this location seems to fit most of our needs. I would like a headcount on who would be interested in doing Fight Night at this location. Let me know if you are down to start fight night back up! Scheduling is open, we can do it Weds, Thurs or Friday. Post up and let me know your thoughts.
I’m down and I’ll bring some Extension cords and surge protector next week. Finally I can get some TT2 in and I wants some pointers and matches with u Hiryu02. I need to catch up. U two Mike. 8)
