Nashville: Good to see people trying out tekken/asking questions. Stick with it! I tried to answer as many questions/help as many people as I could, so hopefully that helped someone. Although, I am not gonna lie…I was cracking up how 3/4s of you had to play Majin your first match…funny thing is, that’s the exact same thing that happened my first tournament. Keep practicing and keep learning!
Something like:
launch combo, relaunch with an assist using dive kick as an otg, once they are in the corner you can dive kick otg cancel buster A-version lightning S delayed down H (3 hits)S and then I start lightning loop.
This combo doesn’t really change in any situation sometimes I just have to shorten the amount of hits into lightning loop but it always ends in lightning loop.

GG’s to literally everybody I played this weekend. I came out feeling like a much, much better player. I’ve never got to play so much Street Fighter all at one time. A few people deserve special commendations though.

Great tournament. Wish I could have stayed around longer for Marvel finals and to see the other games, but I had to get back to cookeville for work.
In awesome news, between Tuesday fight nights, extreme learning sessions with my fiance, and the stuff I picked up at SB, I FINALLY beat someone in tournament play. Thanks to all of the people who encouraged me throughout the tournament, and to Jason for running it SO cleanly. We are incredibly lucky to have an awesome place to go and level up, and I’m sad every Tuesday I have to work and cant make it.
Stay hungry, Nashville. I look forward to our next tournament. (maybe I’ll win TWO!)
When I moved to Mid TN, I purposely requested I be off every Tuesday, JUST for fight night, but I’ve been stuck watching my nephews onna Tuesday evening for the last N amount of weeks…summin gotta give.
im trying to do the same, because I dont have classes on Tues, and I’d love to not work Tues nights…but it’s hard to convince my boss that i should get it off. I’m trying though…because i hate missing fight night.

Bonus only had to do with Tekken and MK getting 16, everything else was guaranteed regardless. Believe me, I didn’t want ti give away $250 for a 9 man tournament (8 paid) but it wasn’t part of the 16 man guaranteed numbers…

Well definitely an error (that last sentence doesn’t even make sense about the top 16) Richard posted up the Facebook event page but it was definitely posted correctly (by me) on the SRK thread and what I copy pasted was correct…the only game that didn’t pay out was MK (2 entrants, tourney cancelled)
KOF was always planned on having the extra money (as you can ask Milln since he was running that and Persona) so there is no issue with that.
I gotta say, that’s the first time I have been called out for GIVING away money when I only had 8-9 people in a tournament, lol
