Just finished watching the 1st vid and damn…bart was amazing at the end lol. Hummer is pretty incrdible himself though so major props for coming down and fighting all these top dudes. Hearing about this KOF tourny really makes me wish I was maining KOF instead of SF lol, but sadly in Canada/USA its just 1 gear when it comes to fighters.

This comp satisfies my curiosity on how mex / jap would fare against each other. I still feel as tho Hummer was mentally out of his comfort zone (playing in a foreign country)…Just doesnt look on point when compared to his other 2k2 vids. But if he himself says “i lost fare and square” guess cant argue with that.
It would be very interesting if or when mex go to japan to play.
In regards to japan, I do hope that Hummer is ok and any family / friends he has. Hell, every japanese for that matter. Its a real tragedy atm and I do hope the country pulls through.
That’s the truth, hence it amazes me that people would have the nerve to even talk about me not being at Final Round when everyone had known about this thing since the beginning, it’s this type of stuff that quite simply again convinces me I made the right decision focusing on the Mexican and international scene (every year someone runs their mouth at Final Round as if by law I HAVE TO BE THERE…hello NOTHING SAYS I HAVE TO BE AT FINAL ROUND.)
Not for this one, costs were too high securing Hummer, Bart, Kula, and others as well as making sure I had everything at the tournament I needed, covering operational expenses and everything else. I didn’t even know until last minute that we would have internet access in the tournament, so now that I know this we can plan for Battle 4 Mexico 2011 to have a live stream.
Thanks! Yes Hummer has said his family is okay, his friends are okay, so he didn’t have that on his mind when he was playing in the tournament. It is a real tragedy me just reading the newspaper and news in the USA makes me sad because I saw the emotion that put on Hummer (remember I was his chaffeur for the entire tournament from start to finish).

Just wondering, do you have any idea who was talking shit about you on the FR stream Dark Geese? I was at Final Round and the KOF competition wasn’t anything special. Norman and his friend were the only good/decent players. I was undefeated for like 3 hours on Friday…lol. I don’t even think a side tourney took place; at least not on Friday and for the majority of Saturday. They took out the KOF setup on Saturday to add another TV for MBAA.
Nope man, but I got about 20 emails and all of them saying the same thing-“Are you watching the FR stream? They are talking mad smack about you right now!”
Next vid is still uploading guys as of right now it lacks over 2 hours before it finishes, and I am not going to cut it down to decrease upload time; which would decrease quality of the video, I want these videos to be HD quality so it will take as long as it takes…plus hey it works to my benefit…it creates that “urge” or anticipation for the next videos!!

I don’t think he was exactly talking about a stream. I think he means a direct video recording from the source with a video capture card or something as opposed to filming the projection. IMO, you should do both; use the direct feed video and use the background sound, like what TeamSp00ky does.

I did that for the Macbook videos, all console matches are on the Macbook (no background noise though, I’ll consult Sp00ky to see if I can hire him to come do all that for Battle 4 Mexico 2011), and for future things in order to mix them how I want to truthfully I’m gonna probably hire someone to do it that way.
In regards to direct feed for the arcade matches, I’ve discussed in one of my youtube update videos why that’s very difficult to do, due to the fact that these are old school arcades, I can’t hook anything up to them directly, they are wired shut permanently, they aren’t the newer type arcades in Mexico, it’s old school, which means projector so that I do not get black lines and still get background noise.

Hey DG are you thinking of creating a official website that can act as the “shoryuken” for SNK games. With all of these KOF tournies blowing up I think it’s time we get our own community site off the ground. Just look at vesper arcade as a example or the canada cup, that was only created by a small group of players. I have buddy in web design that can help out here, he also happens to be apart of my SF clan so it could work out in getting exposure for both groups. I’m sure if we all pour all of our resources together, we can develop a expansive SNK community online. I’m willing to put down my resources to get it started, if you’re interested let me know and the same goes for any dedicated SNK fan who wants a true online SNK community. I’m also going to issue this suggestion to the webmasters of the other SNK community sites and see if we can all get on the same page with creating this new community.

KOF not running on Fri or Sat was my fault. I was running HD Remix and Marvel pools and I had no idea they would take as long as they did, especially Marvel pools, because I didn’t have a runner so I had to find everybody myself.
I was pretty tired by Fri night and completely out of energy on Saturday so I wasn’t able to run the KOF tourney, which really bums me out because this is the first year that I can remember no SNK game was an official tournament at Final Round, but unfortunately that’s the way things go in America. If it’s not Marvel or SF it doesn’t matter to people.
