The KOF Cup 2011 with Hummer from Japan in Mexico/Mexico vs. Japan Discussion thread

EDIT: I made this thread to separate it from the other thread. All discussion for this tournament and Mexico vs. Japan stuff goes here so the other thread can cease to exist.

Results from Hummer in Mexico Day 1
Well well, since the tournament is happening time to let you guys know whats going on.

First day of personal matches:

Bart vs. Hummer Money Match:

Bart wins 15-11.

Lalo vs. Hummer ft10:

Lalo wins 10-7.

I will keep you all thoroughly updated on the results, Hummer is a very very strong player!!! He says he is #10-#12 in Japan and that Tatsuya is the #1 player right now, and you know what, we believe him, he is very very strong!!

He also says Cap does not play 2002 any longer, he plays 2002 UM. He also says Cap/Kyappu are the same person!

Kula arrives today, Hummer plays Kula, Alexis, Zeus, Esteban, Luis Cha, Andres, Skato, Bart again for the GGPO Challenge, and more. Trust me when things get going the matches are TOP NOTCH, Hummer knows how to put on a show!!!

Yes Emil I also asked him about Oogosho and he says when he used to play 2002 he was good, in 98 he is one of the tops, but does not play 2002 anymore I have all this on film.

Also let’s see in reply to Syxx, I think I know what I am talking about, HUMMER IS RIGHT HERE NEXT TO ME AND HE SAYS HIS NAME IS GUESS WHAT- HUMMER.

So let you guys talk all damn day, but when the guy is right next to me and he says his name is HUMMER, guess what?

HIS NAME IS HUMMER. END OF STORY. YOU LOSE. I WIN. Get it? Got it? Good. So yes I think I do have a clue, the guy is right next to me…typical SRK, clueless about most stuff in the KOF world esp. skill level in other countries that aren’t in the Asian Hemisphere (I.E. Mexico) hahahaha.

Thanks a lot and await more information.

Thats whats up.

Good Shizz Mexico.

As always DG, I’ll be waiting for more videos and results. Appreciate it for setting this up and keeping us up to date with the info:tup:.

Question.

Is Hummer playing on his own joystick or is he playing on the average crap american-type joysticks? And is he playing at a linked machine or the typical american-way, side-by-side?

Just curious.

He is playing on custom japanese setup.

Hummer is playing on a Japanese stick we had just for him, he is playing side by side but Hummer says (he is here with me now as I type this and I am corroborating with him as I type this so he agrees with everything I said) that he did not lose because of the stick, he feels the stick was good, he feels he lost because Andres, Bart, Kula, Lalo, Luis Cha are strong.

What happened today:

**Andres vs. Hummer: Andres 10-4 over Hummer

GGPO Challenge:
Bart vs. Hummer Rematch: Bart 10-7 over Hummer
Luis Cha vs. Hummer: Luis Cha 10-0 over Hummer

Kula vs. Hummer: Kula 10-0 over Hummer

Hummer vs. Severo: Hummer wins 10-4 over Severo**

I made sure to get everything recorded I believe someone may have taken the first camera I have so I have the second one with all this footage which I feel were better than Fridays. Bart-Hummer was much much closer this time very very good close matches.

Due to the fact that Luis Cha, Bart and Kula won vs. Hummer they won the GGPO Challenge. These matches today will be named just that.

So the matches you see right now plus the North vs. South footage and Kula vs. Skato (Kula won 15-6) Zeus vs. Andres, and Kula vs. Zeus.

I have on film Hummer says “He cannot Beat Kula on camera.” He says Kula is on the same level as the current #1 player in 2002 in Japan- Tatsuya.

We are very interested in seeing Kula vs. Tatsuya in the future, Hummer thinks they are evenly matched.

He also says he thinks Kula is better than amuro from Taiwan, he thinks Tatsuya would beat Luis Cha, but between Tatsuya and Kula it’s TOSS UP!!!

He also says there is only one May Lee 2002 user in Japan and 2 Angel users he is amazed at how many people in Mexico know how to fight Angel and May Lee/know of them.

He is very excited to see Kula go to Japan to play KOF 2002.

I think you guys should give Hummer some rematches in the japanese setup (2 screens linked). IMO side by side and linked are very different.

Again Hummer says that is not the reason why he lost though, he says it is because the Mexican players are very strong.

But Hummer will get many many rematches before we call it quits Sunday night.

Congrats to Mexico.

DarkGeese, great work on getting these guys to play each other and promoting the scene. I’ll bet there will be more interest in the future and we’ll get to see more top Japanese players go against Mexico’s finest. Are any of the videos up yet? Were all the matches kof 2002 or is there some 02um / KOF xiii there too?

Oscar- It’s pretty silent in here isn’t it? A lot of views, not a lot of comments. As I said before, you cannot judge or say anything until it happens!

Hummer told me ths morning he spoke with M’, Tatsuya, and Yousai this morning and they are very eager to play vs. Kula, Bart, Zeus in 2002 in Japan. We are going to try and make this happen soon.

Today is the tournament, he is what has happened so far:

Lalo vs. Bart: Bart wins 10-7.
Andres vs. Lalo- Andres wins (do not know exactly by how much)
Zeus vs. Andres- Zeus wins 15-10.
Zeus vs. Andres Part I: Zeus wins 15-11.

Kula vs. Zeus Ice vs. Thunder Challenge:
Kula wins 15-12.

Later more updates.

Freshie- Thank you! No videos are up yet, Mexican internet is very slow, but you will see videos I assure you Monday! Freshie all the matches were 2002, today is the tournament, Sunday we do 2002, 98UM, 2002 UM, and everything else we can do between today and Sunday.

Awesome. I look forward to it.

I can post how many tournaments in Mexico has Syxx’s name in it too and you won’t find that there will you? Okay then (why bring my name into something that is between YOU AND JEDPOSSUM?). What has just happened:

** Hummer vs. Zeus: Zeus wins 10-4.
Hummer vs. Severo Rematch: Severo wins 7-2.
Hummer vs. Kihara: Hummer wins 7-6.**

In progress: Hummer vs. Skato.

Then Hummer vs. Esteban.

Hummer vs. Skato:
Skato wins 7-5.

In progress: Hummer vs. Esteban (Currently 9-7 Hummer, camera is full taking break to transfer matches to external Hard drive.)

Hummer vs. Esteban:
Hummer wins 10-7.

Hummer vs. Alexis: (In progress Alexis is winning 6-0)

Hummer vs. Alexis:

Alexis wins 10-0. (Oh someone isn’t gonna like that very well.) xD

The tournament begins, but we are about to take Hummer out to see some fine mexican ladies and “enjoy ourselves” a bit and he will play in the first round of the tournament in the morning…

We say that Alexis is the “Mexican Oogosho.” (Oogosho is best Clark player in Japan, Alexis best Clark in Mexico)

Also I have Hummer on film saying he thinks Alexis and Oogosho in 2002 are the same level, he believes Alexis could beat him.

He also says right now Oogosho plays 2002 UM and not 2002 anymore.

Now we are about to begin the North vs. South International 5-on-5 and the tournament is going on at the same time.

North Team:
Alexis-Lalo-Esteban-Skato-Zeus

South International:
Kula-Bart-Luis Cha-Hummer-Andres

Hummer wants to play so he is going to play on a Mexican stick to savetime frmo changing to Japanese stik al the time. Remember this is all for fun so that is how it is going to be!

Great stuff DG, when will hte matches be ready I can’t to wait to see all the action?

Some will start being uploaded Monday but it will take a lot of time to get everything uploaded make no mistake about that, I have to edit eveything…so before you see everything? A month.

Also keep in mind the focus of this tournament is 2002 people, so you may or may not see a lot of matches from other games like Battle 4 Mexico 2010 because 2002 is the focus. At Battle 4 Mexico 2010 the focus is many different games.

Hummers Pool has begun-

Here are the results thus far:

Hummer Pool:

Hummer vs. Chila: Chila wins 2-0.
Hummer vs. Brenan: Hummer wins 2-0.
Hummer vs. Kihara: Kihara wins 2-0.
Hummer vs. Luis Cha: Luis Cha wins 2-0.
Hummer vs. Lalo: Hummer wins 2-1.

Hummer is still in the first round right now. Paco has not shown up, so Hummer gets that win.
If Luis Cha beats Kihara- Kihara will play Hummer for the final spot in 2002 2nd Round.

Luia Cha beat Kihara and Paco has not shown up, so Hummer got the win.

**The KOF Cup 2011 Elimination Match:

Hummer vs. Kihara:

Hummer wins 3-1!!!

Congratulations to Hummer, he moves on to THE SECOND ROUND!!!**

Kula is next, He is going to use The Sanwa for the tournament!!!
