OK, I see, I will buy kof 98UM, I dont think I like kof XI style. That is where I will challenge you! kof 12 maybe too, I will see. But my priority will kof 98UM. june 30 will be tough. I am going to call off from my two jobs to go to the tourney in LA on June 14 to 15. I think I will just wait for you in america and do a dojo breaking when you are back (at your place). like in the old days in japan, the samourai who beats the dojo master was taking the name of the dojo with him. LOL.
So one of the best player in the world is giving you trouble? And you are closing in on him, that pretty much tells at what level you are now. Impressive.
So let me know when you will back in the State after the super tourney, then I will put a date on my calendar when I come to your turf.
I was about to say do you have a passport? If you do you can just cross to TJ and play about 100x stronger competition than you would ever see at EVO for SNK/KOF…
Yeah sans like 1 match or so where Kula’s Iori just flat out whooped my ass, all of our matches in 98UM were very very competitive…
any players out there that can perform outstandingly with yamazaki in 97/98 or 02 (also um’s)? i rarely see players use him like i did back in the days, everybody uses him in a turtle manner. this is good for players like billy or whip, but yamazaki is a character that can rape offensivelly as well. still to this day, in kof, i havent seen any player use him to rape his opponents offensively. so any good yama players you know of dg? whats even funnier is that yamazakis defense has holes in it, he cant take getting rushed down soo well. so his counters and snake fists should be used offensivelly imo, get them to cower in fear and command throw or ex/dm throw them. he can apply steady pressure without any gabs in between (simple things like holding down snake fist just a lil or canceling it when you see the roll etc), bait them and take half their life, make them cower and let them eat your throws, let them try to counter with whats supposed to be a safe move, counter them with your tounge.
man i cant wait for kof xiii to drop, i honestly havent played kof competetivelly in almost 10 years i think. im stuck to playing ssf4 turtlefag edition every now and then cause theres no other fucking decent fighter on the ps3 that i like. mk9, mvc3 and games i could care less about, sf3tsoe is still not out and ive never really been good in that game anyways (still best sf game ever made by a large fucking gap). i wanna get good again and have some competition to play, but thats not happening in NL if your from the snk scene, and 13 is the only game that “might” change that. at least with online you could have an entire continent to play against (which in snk terms still isnt all that much in the US or EU i believe).
DG bro, I have a passport, but for some personal reason, I cant go to TJ, or outside the US. However, hopefully by 2012, I will start hanging out with you in Mexico to play people of Kula level, and I also made a promise to an old pal, Heavydavid that I will own his ass one day in Mexico. For now gotta take care of stuff. But in the meantime, I will try to play the best in the US.
I know you are busy, leveling up, organizing event and promoting KOF in Mexico, however, 2011 I can only challenge you in the US.
Here are Kula’s thoughts after the Rematch vs. Hummer winning 7-0:

Translation:
He hopes Tatsuya gives him more of a challenge, he is very dissappointed by Hummer’s level of play and sees everyone in Mexico sans Severo defeating him. He says Hummer is like a “little kid” in Mexico in regards to skill level. What are your thoughts everyone on what Kula is saying?
By some of the comments some actually agree with Kula, because many see there is a lot of evidence.
I would not have it any other way, I am going to provide enough evidence to shut up the naysayers/rabid Japanese fanboys and all the doubters so that when the event is over there are no more questions or any question they are even thinking about asking is answered.
As I have said before everyone, there is a lot of evidence and we aren’t even halfway done with it yet, but again, the evidence speaks for itself.
The evidence has told us this much so far:
**1. GGPO results/online results mean absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things. Online should be taken with a grain of salt/not seriously because it does not mean anything when given opponents face off in real life. To go even further, you may be a GGPO God, but that means nothing in real life, you have to prove yourself like anyone else, and many of these so called GGPO Gods aren’t as strong in real life!
Mexican players can play vs. the Japanese tops in 2002 without question.**
I agree with you to an extend, Mexico is probably the best in 2002 RIGHT NOW in the year 2011 but outside of Mexico I don’t think many people care much about 2002 and I believe they are playing with left over 02 Japanese players. I don’t think they would have been able to beat players such as the great KOF master RF and Oogosho back in 2004-2005 when they were at their prime and 02 matter to the rest of the world.
Playing against Tatsuya is going to be a waste of money, time and effort because I can tell that he is not going to put up a fight, can somebody tell me where was this Tatsuya back in 2003-2005 when KOF 02 matter and how he placed at SBO when they had 02. Is like telling the Mexicans that we are going to ranked them in their performance based on the outcome of them playing 98 against Xiaohai and Dakou, believe me I would get a loan on my house and put it all on Dakou and Xiahaoi in 98. I’m pretty sure that not too many places (if any) outside of China still play KOF 98 competitively.
The real test of skill here is going to be in July at the tournament in TJ where they will have to prove that if this skills are true and that they are superior in KOF when they face the actual top players in the most recent KOF or if the only reason they are winning is because they are playing against washed out Japanese players.
I know khanibal is a house man now, but I gave him my word as player that I will beat him there, even if he is in bad shape( that is a long story anyway).
Kula is going to learn whatever game I tell him to learn and master…I am Don King he is Mike Tyson…Mike Tyson wants the world so I am going to give him the chance to earn it.
The main games right now in Japan from KOF standpoint are 2002 UM and 13…with 2002 UM being played more than 13 right now in Japan. Kula has already been training in all of that…I am even going to get him started on SF and eventually Tekken and MVC3…he wants the world I am going to give him the opportunity to go get it. And he is quite strong in 2002 UM mind you, and he is certainly ready to show what he’s got in 13, so yes a real current test of where Mexican skill is in 13 and 2002 UM will be seen in July when we have USA vs. Mexico vs. Japan.
About Kula vs. Tatsuya, I am just trying to end this thing…but in a sense it will just be the beginning…because Hummer has said if Kula goes to Japan beats Tatsuya and the Japanese players, then they wil train up and get stronger…so while the War of Mexico vs. Japan in 2002 will be pretty much complete, we will be beginning it anew in 13 and 2002 UM in July at TJ, and then hopefully other games since I will have him training in SF, 98UM etc…
Also Argentina from what I hear plays 98 still competitively.
That is true without question…trust me Kula has been training you can rest assured on that…remember I am Don King…so I know exactly what Mike Tyson is doing…and I gave him a sanwa to train with and he has been training, plus he used a sanwa the entire first round of the 2002 tournament, and to tell you the truth it didn’t matter, he still just flat out beasted everyone!
About his overconfidence etc, hey I look at it like this, Kula brings the hype, he is a magnet for attention to KOF, so sure of course many aren’t gonna like the guy, but the guy gets the job done when he has to! The guy is good for the sport!
Yes we are planning in November to end the MvJ 2002 saga, and then let it continue hopefully for years on 2002 UM and 13, because in 2002 it seems at least of now, the Japanese haven’t been putting up a fight as Oscar would say…and you can see that… so time to make Kula master 2002 UM, 13, 98UM etc so that they will be playing the Japanese in their prime…because win lose or draw, again I want NO EXCUSES… I want no reason for some Japanese fanboy to say “Well your tournament was screwed because of XYZ”…I want NONE…I want to destroy their entire argument before they even think about opening their mouth…so people again see that in general skill is not limited to one region…
Okay just keep in mind he will not play you…you may have to play him in SF…
I gotta agree with The Answer. With no offense to the Mexican players, but they really have missed out on so much the last few years by not taking 2k2UM more seriously. Like I’ve said plenty of times, I understand that OG2k2 has a legendary game in Mexico. Hell, it’s just as legendary as MvC2 is here in the US. But the fact is that a lot of the tops from Japan moved on to what is considered the superior game while Latin America and other places stayed with OG2k2.
But alas, I have no influence on what game people should play and it’s not my intention to tell people what they should do. But I think I would be extremely more interested to see what the top Mexican players will experience when they go to Japan and realize that OG2k2 is more of a side game there while 2k2UM is what the Japanese players have been more focused since it’s inception.
I didn’t see that part but you are right they are missing out again, it would have been 1000 x better for one of them to attend the 2002UM SBO tournament and show what they got than they beating poor old HUMMER and the other 2 guys (sorry I forgot their names) in 2002.
Now if they would have come back with a victory in 02UM that would not only settle this Jap vs Mex thing, that would have made the entire world look at their direction and maybe companies like SNKP would pay attention to them.
I’m not going to take any credit from them in 2002 I do think that they are the best at that game. Now how is that helping them in the year 2011?
But with this said they are still monsters in 2002 UM.
Looking at the big body of work (not just the sticks), Ivan beat Bata at JuareZ WarZone 6-2 and 5-3. Salim beat Bata 10-4, and Bata is one of the best in West Japan in 2002 UM, and Kula beat Ivan 10-1, so I think again due to how strong they are in OG 2002, it won’t take them that long to get very strong in 2002 UM. Bata even told me he is going to have to train up to be able to defeat Kula in 2002 UM. I say Kula right now can probably go head to toe with some of the best in the world in 2002 UM just simply because of how strong his Angel, Iori, King are!!! He shows without question that Angel is top tier, and again since 2002 UM is the #1 KOF in Japan, the time is ripe for us to find out what happens in July with 2002 UM.
**And Kula is the #1 player in Mexico in 2002 UM…
**
How do you think Japan’s best are gonna fare against a Godlike Angel player in 2002 UM? Not many Angels in Japan so do you think that would again affect things? The lack of exposure??
I would argue you could say they missed out IF Japan was no longer playing 2002 UM, but since that is the #1 KOF in Japan right now, and I got the people that need to be playing it playing it…how are they missing out?
In addition to this, do you guys think I am just gonna make Kula enter 2002 in Japan? Oh no…he knows he will be entering:
OG 98, OG 2002, 2002 UM, KOF13, KOFXI, KOF 98UM.
So this is far from decided yet…maybe it may be in 2002, but for the other games we are just getting started.
Well because now that I’ve came along and offered to help them solve the 2002 debate if they help me with the newer games, we have people like Kula and a lot of others playing the newer games, and as we have seen with some people like Armando, due to how much they know, it takes them roughly 1/50th of the time to get strong at a new KOF compared to some of the people I have seen in the USA (***That’s how it helps them in 2011-3 weeks and Armando’s on Mr. KOF’s level in KOF13!)
So I am starting this new 2002 UM revolution in Mexico…started with Ivan vs. Bata…now it’s gonna be Kula vs…well you will have to wait and see!!!
This is due to how much they know of the older ones…so though they have “missed out”, I say not quite…I don’t think they’ve truly missed out, because I got the people I need playing what I need them to play (Kula playing any and everything I say, Bart gonna learn 13, and Mexico picking up 13 fast).
So to add onto this, what will really be something is if Mexico wins KOF13 and 2002 UM in July, because without question they’ve been playing both games for far less time than both the USA and Japan combined…but don’t be surprised if they do…because again, their extensive knowledge in 2002 and the older games, helps them in any KOF moving forward…
Not saying Mexico will win, but as you all have seen…they CAN…don’t count them out…very bad mistake!
Also something else to add: About SBO…I’m going to create my own (The World KOF Cup). Why go to SBO when I can create my own that will resolve who is the best in the world (unlike SBO which is severely flawed in that it’s centralized to only a few regions which leads to overgeneralizing Japanese fanboys LMFAO.)???
