Both GGPO and 2DF use the Final Burn Emulator which doesn’t emulate PS. So KoF2k2UM just won’t work.

The version of Garou on 2DF/GGPO is a neogeo game, which is emulated by FBA.

DG, I’d suggest just doing what FRXI is doing for SFIV.

Ban the chars, then legalize later if they aren’t broken.

BTW I think this is just the chars from appeared from 99-Neowave, so the Sports Heroes, Big, Krauser, and Eiji are out.

Geeses were console chars in Neowave/2k2 so they’re in.

Just be aware this approach caused a big uproar about people wanting to just wait until people have actually played the game before banning something. So much so that talk on the subject is prohibited in the thread now (even spilled into the character specific forums for those characters).

I think people are more okay now a days with the wait and see approach rather than pre-emptive stuff. Now anything over the top broken gets a ban sure, but I think people are less iffy on just waiting on the borderline stuff.

New move: Nejikomi. Winds up (slowly) and delivers a heavy body blow. Weak version does 33% guard meter damage on block; strong does 100%. Also a counter wire.
Mid Snake Charmer (qcb+B) startup reduced.
Low Snake Charmer (qcb+C) is a down attack.
Guillotine’s (qcfx2+P) hitbox expanded.

-Mary-
2 new moves: Stun Fang and Spin Heel Attack (both from RBS).
New MAX2: M. Infinity Rose.
Old MAX2 (M. Typhoon) changed to a normal DM.
Real Counter (qcb+P) has invincibility on startup.
D Vertical Arrow (dp+K) has increased invincibility and can be super-canceled.

New move: Hibari Otoshi (feint version of his qcb+P). Creates an anti-air explosion that can be juggled after.
Liar Elemental (MAX2) now has instant startup.
f+A hitbox shrunk and recovery increased.

KOF '99’s Ura 311 Shiki: Sakutsumagushi (qcfx2+K) returns.
New graphic effects on Homura Hotogi (MAX2).

Overkill (MAX2) changed to a normal DM.
New MAX2: Carnival Corpse. A counter move with no super flash on startup.
Far C startup reduced.
Outrage (qcb+K) can be super-canceled.

Gaia Gear (MAX2) now does a wallslam and rebound similar to Rick Strowd’s Gaia Breath in RB2.
f+A cancelable on 2nd hit.
Cr. D no longer cancelable.
Machinegun Puncher (HCF+P -> mash P) hitstun increased. (Makes the MAX loop easier to do, but the damage should be far lower due to system changes)
A Dash Puncher (charge b, f+P) recovery increased.

-Seth-
KOF '00’s KOH-GETSU (air qcf+A) returns.
RAKU-GETSU (air qcf+B) and AN-GETSU (air qcf+D) startup reduced.
All air specials can be free canceled.
f+B and f+B xx f+A are now cancelable.

-Ramon-
Can perform Hiki Okoshi (last part of dp+K, dp+K, d, d+P) from Force of Will (qcb+K) on hit.
Standing CD is a counter wire.
Hypnotic Tiger (MAX2) startup reduced; connects from far standing strong attacks.
Normal move damage slightly lowered.


Next time: NESTS, Master and Clone Teams.

Hope they also restored Iori’s dp+K move from '99, more for completionist reasons than anything. SNKP’s done a good job so far of ensuring everyone has all of their moves from '99-'2002, there’s only a few I haven’t seen so far, like Yuri’s Raging Demon SDM from 2001, and Lin’s df+C command move from 2001.

I really hope Mary’s supers don’t have shun goku satsu commands like they did in the original 2k2. I have no idea what eolith rolled in their blunts when they did that.

lt means to a degree people have to slightly alter the way they play with Vanessa…no cr.D cancels to sways or teleports or that other stuff. (It may get replaced by Cr.C lol)

I do like the F+A cancellable on the 2nd hit…thats 2000 like…meaning hitconfirms are MUCH MUCH EASIER.

Another negative is the recovery on Dash Puncher being reduced…this means people have to play Vanessa safer and less “off the wall” because less stuff of hers is safe…

On paper she looks weaker than Vanessa in KOFXI…but the jury is out on that. now I’m really looking forward to the “said changes” to the NESTS team…

Angel and Foxy…I wonder what they are gonna tell us about Angel… is it gonna be the obvious? (Infinite removed) and for Foxy (unblockable removed) or more?

See and thats what I’m not liking, I love my sways/teleports. The reduction on the dash punch is going to be a sligt bother
