Good information. It seems this was their framework for adjusting the game…now we just have to hope it holds up in the end…
If not not only should it be corrected in the Arcade version…but we should be allowed to get a patch…SNKp isn’t known for this…but this is a game they may need it for…

I’m a vanessa player, I’m at a loss how I’m gonna play with her effectively without out her sway/teleport
i don’t recall those being taken out…
She’s gonna keep her sway and teleport…you are just gonna have to use the things she has in order to get into them (CD Cancel, Cr.C etc)
Some of these changes seem really interesting. New moves? Well I’ll be damned.
The hitbox is wide for Billy and its a staple of his in OG 2002 so it had to be nerfed…nearly every string Billy users have ends with f+a and so they had to decrease the hitbox and make it unsafe…
So yeah Billy gets nerfed in essence…
This completely changes how people have to play him.

It says Vanessa’s f+A is cancellable on the second hit but doesn’t mention if it is cancellable on the first hit anymore. If it isn’t…that’s actually worse. It means if the opponent has meter, attempting a f+A in an attack string would be punishable if guard rolled.
It’s not clear if the move is punishable on block. Probably just means you can’t combo crouch C’s after it and that it’s generally harder to start more offense after they block a f+A.

If this is true that means not only is her Cr.D uncancellable, but her Cr.C is as well…that means omg Vanessa is not gonna have too many options.
Good point about Vanessa…if you can’t cancel it on the first hit anymore then anytime that happens I am gonna Guard Roll them like I do in KOF2000…Excellent point Emil.
True with Billy it probably does mean you can’t combo Cr.C’s after it like they do in the corner with Billy…
Only time will tell though it’ll be out soon.

Word. A, A, f/b, B, C for an anti-air (S)DM?
Mary’s Dynamite Swing was introduced in Real Bout Fatal Fury Special (as EX Mary’s P.Power move). In this game, its command is A, A, back, B, C. For some reason, Eolith saw fit to give it a similar command in 2001 and 2002 (where several HSDMs/MAX2 moves require even more taxing inputs).
Hopefully, 2002: UM will use the more workable qcfx2+K command, as well as the hcbx2+K command for the Mary Typhoon (as opposed to 2002’s Break Spiral-derivated hcf, uf, u, d+BD).

I was hoping they gave Iori that super he had in NGBC where he leaps at you, then, in black silhouette with a red background, rips you in still-frame multiple times…that shit was awesome.
As cool as it looks…they probably didnt because it really is useless sans one or two situations…
As long as he can combo into it, it’s cool. Fighting games have proved time and time again, that unless its a 1 frame grab. Most supers are useless you can combo into them with efficient normals.
Or if it becomes stupidly fast.
