For someone who sucks at crouch Max starters who would be a good character to practice executing them with? anything like cr.X~[BC activate]~cr.X~special attack should be good, any other suggestions would be fine too.
I dunno, for me I’d suggest Mai in terms of her 02 og max combo.

Sorry I should have been more specific, I meant something more like “cr.B, cr.B, [BC] cr.B/A” or whatever, you know more like using crouch lows to link directly into Max Mode instead of the usual BC run.

Anyways. Speaking of BC and stuff, I’m been practicing Leona MAX combos and I learned that she can super cancel her air DM from the f+D of her running slash (charge b,f+K) but that shit never comes out for me. Is that super cancel point really that fucking hard?

I tested and praticed BC methods by cancelling light attacks into heavy attack. (e.g. Mature’s c.B x2, s.B(2hits), BC, s.C(2hits), combo.) Seems like algebraic expression:razz:;
I believe that you gotta be slightly ahead of the frames and softly and briefly pressing BC then press C, followed along with Rouge’s pianoing method. This takes some time and pratice to execute however, KOF excecution timing is one of the most constricted and critical especially with joystick and button inputs and then it gets easier in say like XI and XIII.

Kind of late to the party, but, is the 360 version worth getting at all? You know, is color edit and those type of modes in. More importantly is still somewhat active online and is the netcode at least NGBC quality? I always wanted to take KoF more seriously, but, bad online kind of kill it for me. No Arcades and my only friend that’s decent at fighters is more into Tekken 6 then anything.

Why would you find anyone online for a game with crappy netcode? Besides people who can’t tell the difference and think its passable.
People who don’t live near offline players… like myself.

It all depends on the connection, just play the game a lot and eventually you will get use to it.

Can anyone please give me some tips on how to deal with an air fireball whoring Yuri? Characters I use are: K’, Kyo-2, Shingo, Iori, Ryo, Takuma, Kusanagi. She is driving me nuts :looney:

defensively, yuri is going to corner herself if she just continuously does jump back air fireball, so you just have to be patient and move forward/avoid the fireballs till she has nowhere to go and keep her in the corner.
if she’s doing neutral jump fb it’s not too difficult to really jump over the fireball and punish if it’s abused a lot.
forward jump fb there isn’t really too much besides a predicted roll past it but her pressure options get significantly limited compared to a regular jumpin so it’s not too bad.
Yeah neutral jump fb is easy to punish however jump forward fb once you block it (depending on where she lands) is pretty impossible to punish I find. I can only punish her if my roll finishes past her.
Yeah that’s how it usually is. But like I said, she doesn’t really have any good pressure options after doing that if she does early enough to stuff your moves, so it’s not THAT bad. Some of your chars can dp it on reaction if you’re careful, I believe Takuma’s counters work too.

I’m not sure why you would be having trouble with forward air fireball yuri…it’s not even useful anyway. Punish it with neutral jump…
