You guys also have to remember that some states have shitty servers. Speedtest.com will give you all info, so don’t blame everything on SNK. you will notice some states give you better results than others.

Standard SNK Netcode…

< 50ms = Sitting Next to You.
50 ~ 100ms = Damned Good.
100 ~ 150ms = Decent… could be better, could be worse.
150 ~ 200ms = Input Lag.
> 200ms = Unplayable.

What’s the trick to doing Clark’s Max 2? I’ve just done it like 5 times in a row but haven’t got the achivement :confused:

Same shit as 98UM. Great game, just don’t buy it if you were hoping to play online, it may as well not have it. I played a guy with 48 ms (sat in the lobby with him to just look at ping fluctuate for a min or two, it barely moved above 50) and it was still fucking horrible. Out of 40 matches I played…2 were halfway playable. Even then I couldn’t do the simplest combos like Vice’s close D, f+A, hcf+B consistently.

I don’t understand how NGBC seemed to run better than all SNK’s previous garbage (though with host advantage, making things lopsided for the challenger), but they decided to roll 2002UM back to whatever garbage they were using prior to NGBC.

I played guys with 60-90 ms and it ran great. Haven’t played the people I mainly intend to play in New Jersey and Washington, though.

Didn’t they start working on 2002um prior to NGBC? That might’ve had something to do with it. I still haven’t played it. Waiting to get home from work so still another 4 hours.

I haven’t had any problems. Maybe a slight input delay in 100ms+ matches, and I saw only one visible lag hiccup in the 20 or so games I played.

I’m pleased. Now if I could just stop getting Iked online.

NGBC seemed a lot shittier than it really was until I went back and played games with more than like 10 people on the other side of the continent online that’s names involve “Street” and “IV”.

I think I’m obligated to grab it as part of the great SNK piracy repayment operation anyways.

Mycah Leonheart and got Potential officially do not understand electronics and how the internet works.

Just did about 9 matches so far. Online is pretty decent for me as long as it isn’t over 150 ms. Felt pretty good at 70 ms and under though.

How about you guys just stop posting and admit that you know absolutely nothing about netcode.

Well, didn’t you mention before that this had supposedly been submitted since way before NGBC? I guess I was right in getting my hype down after being remembered of that afterall =/

Oh well, at least it’s a better practice mode for the arcade than the PS2 version.

Netcode is worse than NGBC (which is decent, btw). It’s not as bad as KOF98UM though. I think this netcode is a previous version to the NGBC’s netcode (SNK’s in-house netcode). SNK Playmore ditched GSS, so this was probably their first build.

Hopefully they will fix this with an update.

even if the netcode is good or not good there is no sense in bickering about it. just play the game and try to get your friends to download and learn it (properly) as well.
