Hey anyone wanna play some matches with me on 2002um? Just got it recently.
Netcode?
I was just playing against someone (ggs Shikami09) had a good few matches and the ping was inbetween 180-205 and it played great, I also had a ranked match against someone didn’t see the ping but that match also worked like a dream. Hopefully this means the netcode is pretty solid.
Also Joe is hella gewd.
The netcode is very good. So far I haven’t had a single laggy match.
Netcode’s been pretty okay for me. Played about 8 matches, I played 2 against overseas players and I noticed a slight input delay.
I’ll have to play it later on when some of my friends get online, so far it’s about NGBC quality though.

netcode is good!! NGBC I get 75-96ms with my friend. KOF2002UM Every game was 74-92ms. Florida to New Jersey.
KOF98UM 90-125, Garou 90-125 <— sometimes that 125 is terrible.
p.s. Verizon FOIS. I played a Jap on NGBC with 200ms. no lag. I’ll have to test KOF2002UM’s netcode with a Jap player before I think this netcode is actually good.
played a couple 80ms matches with different people. The input delay was pretty bad. like, hard to do normal->cmd normal bad. forget hitconfirming.
Indeed Joe is really good I should know haha , but as said above me don’t worry about netcode its good.No worries.
For people who are saying it’s terrible: Did you have problems with NGBC? If so, you’re probably in the minority.

ngbc was a lot better and everyone ive talked to and tested this game who actually knows what theyre talkng about says its horrible. just played with rogueyoshi who is ec/ny area was it was like 5 frames of lag, totally unplayable
lmao yea ggs, i agree. it also seemed to fluctuate as the match went on. at one point it was like, remotely playable sort of for a few seconds

Oh well. At least it’s still a better alternative than modding my ps2 to play the japanese version.

I’m at work right now so I’m connected to a VPN and it kills my upload but download is still pretty good - With that in mind…
Anything 150 and up and it’s like you’re playing MotW, Slight input lag but not like 98UM
Anything under 100 is decent, under 50 and they are sitting next to you - Standard SNK Netcode it seems.
Go get it, it’s not a waste of money.
It’s not a waste of money, its the best 800 points I spent, but I’m not saying the netcode is great.
It doesn’t feel as solid as NGBC but it’s not in MotW or 98UM territory either.
