Say, does Hinako’s BC infinite change her position on tiers by the way? I’m sure it wouldn’t affect her too badly, cause even without it, she does pretty well and has combos that do really good damage. Referring to the Tougeki version

No real trick, just practice. Here’s what you should know about BC combos.
Basically, you can cancel moves with others that normally wouldn’t cancel, which I’m sure you probably know. Specials can cancel into specials, however in 2002UM, it’s a bit different. Unlike 2k2, you can’t cancel into just anything. There are some moves they won’t allow you to cancel anymore in order to balance out the game.
Now, my recommendation is to practice the combos individually. Go to BC mode and practice the combos during BC mode. Also, practice your normal combos because that’s how you almost always end up into your BC combos. BC combos are just something you have to get use to though, cause all you do is press the button you need to (Usually there’s a set BC button or something you put yourself), then continue the inputs for your combos, nothing too bad man, just takes time. : )
Also, not all characters have use for BCs, so it’s kinda good news. One example would be May Lee. She already has all the options she really needs cause of her stance cancels and such. That’s just my opinion though, people might say otherwise and that’s fine.
P.S.
Listen to what blk_brotha says. Try to practice some of vanilla 2k2 stuff.

Go to the character names and click them for information. Some of this stuff still applies, but there are still improvements to each character in 2k2UM in comparison. Still, these are great to start out with if you’re not use to it.
