Wow… you got away with murder so many times I lost count. The Chun Li player was very poor at doing ultra through you fireballs. I counted about five instances where he should have punished you terribly but he just threw out a random poke and got smacked by counter-hit fireballs? Your blockstrings need work as well. and it’s better to hit-confirm a TU off a cLK xx cLK xx cLP than a TS.
Agreed. Any good chun should have made you suffer for those tiger shots. You need more confidence in your block strings. You could have gotten a TU instead of TS plenty of times after a solid hit confirm, but it seemed like you weren’t confident.
@Anotak: Thanks for the sound advice, recently I’ve realized I’ve lost my basic touch due to being out of practice, and what you said has hit the nail on the head. I’m always trying to do something to keep pressuring my opponent, I should slow down and see what is going on (if opponent is doing nothing throw occasional tiger shot, to watch out for jump-in etc.). I seem to have a problem with getting back in touch with my basics, then I lose it for a bit, then I have to get back in touch (I’ve played super turbo and no one would dare jump in on me in that game). SF Turbo forces you to play that basic game so I excel in it, while in SF4 you have other options so I’m not that concentrated on that aspect (or my opponents don’t force me to be).
@Neasala: Your execution and tiger knee strings are tight, but if you personally know the Ryu you should tell him to start cr.mk your tigerknees so they whiff, since any Ryu who knows the matchup well would do that and it would change the way you proceed in pressuring Ryu (no more tigerknee strings for long, you rarely do it to catch him by surprise). Also, jump-ins were free for BOTH of you. Learn to TU a jump-in. If it’s a normal jump-in HP TU, if it’s a bit too close but in your face LP TU, if it’s a cross either LP TU otherside or st.mp. Your fireball game has got him to jump a lot, but you need to capitalize on that. Also certain things you didn’t punish with the optimal (punished a shoryuken with cr. roundhouse etc.) when you could have gone for cr.mk>HP TU or cr.mk>low TS or EX low TS if opponent is farther (Ryu has a stupid small standing hitbox). Sweet at 3:17.
@Tanex Please tell the Chun to start punishing your tiger shots with ultra. When he starts doing that notice his charge patterns. If he walks forward a bit it means he has lost his charge so it’s free to throw tiger shots. Be very patient when Chun has ultra. Good anti-airing, but you should try to pressure Chun more on wakeup as well as is already said above end your BnB combo with HP TU.
Alioune much respect again man i wish to meet you someday

Tanex commenting on last vid of yours at the end you did ex tiger uppercut which does the least amount of chip dmg just FYI
Awesome Akuma air fireball trap escape @ the Grand Finals of the Samsung 64 man tournament in Singapore. Tight timing.

it works with multiple characters
its escapable btw. with ken you just HP shoryuken, ryu you do ex and punish with metsu etc…
That’s pretty bad still.
Although capcom might not have known about this glitch specifically, I wouldn’t be surprised if it is corrected through all of the lines of code that has been implemented in SSFIV. I hope so, because things like this shouldn’t exist in fighting games… period.

this one u cant stay neutral and block after the flash . Char dependent and the same timing works vs cammy , boxer , sagat . Will post other char dependent setup after.
just a vid of me trying out sagat, suggestions on how i can improve are welcome

Playing against crappy people doesn’t give us the information to tell you how you could improve. You did fine, but that ken was really bad.
i don’t know you were just as bad as the ken was, although i did see some good spacing at times.
i ent a sagat expert but i thought the aim of sagat vs ken was to totally out zone him, i disagree with u but what ever
That is one way to play against ken, but sagat can do that against EVERYONE. The point is that the ken you were facing was really bad. You could have beaten him using only normals pretty effortlessly. Get some videos of you putting effort, even losing, against good players so we can give you some real advice.
Here’s an Ameriken vid for you cats.
