The inevitable tier thread

Ones that don’t play against fei, I’d say. It does have nice range, not trying to argue with that…

You know what else you can do when you predict a fireball? Jump. And get a lot more damage… Just saying, if you predict their fireball, congratulations, you deserve more than two hits of a LK chicken wing then a stalemate. All these psychic moves are so ridiculous, I want some of what sirlin was smoking.

Exactly, at mid-screen or full-screen fei needs to rely on stupid luck to get in close…try fighting a good shoto who knows what he is doing while using fei and u will how bad the match is.

I’m with ya dude. Fei isn’t that bad. This weekend at RTSD I had like a 7 or 8 game win streak with him, and that was really the first time I’ve played him. (and I suck at doing SRKs.) I think certain Fei players need to either quit crying or play someone else. The whining is starting to get redundant.

I lose to DGV’s Ryu and DeeJay all the time with Honda and I’m not bitching. That’s easily a 10-1 match for Ryu. I played some local matches with Alex Valle today and I think I ended up 3-20, but I’ve yet to fill thread upon thread about how bad Honda has it. After Evo I’ll just learn someone else to deal with shotos.

Cammy gets beat by Ryu pretty bad. I can handle most shotos online, but the moment they start throwing fakes in and doing random hurricane kicks for spacing, it becomes insane for me. Not to mention Ryu can SRK IN-BETWEEN my cr. short > lk. drill. Awful matchup. The one time I played DGV, he perfected me the whole match. It hit me pretty hard, too, as I had no idea who he was.

DGV is a computer program. That’s my theory.

But really, he is one the best Ryu players you’ll play anywhere.

??? Please expand.

“Rush That Shit Down” - It’s an event Valle puts together every so often for players to go and learn new things, or generally have a good time.

DGV is 8 star ST Cpu taken sentient form.

Argh, I hate when the comp walks into its maximum pixel throw range and throws you. Since it knows exactly where its maximum throw range is.

I don’t bitch, even when I got beat by DGV 16-6 I stille continued playing. I mean do I ever bitch to u when u beat me, I don’t even think I’ve stole a round from u yet I still continue to fight so you can’t accuse me of just mindlessly bitching.

I’m not accusing you of mindlessly complaining. Fei isnt great, we all know that. I’m just saying you could be focusing your discussion on how to win in your bad matches with the tools he does have.

And I recall you winning a few games against me…

Yeah I know I was just going for dramatic effect lol.

So, now that we have Devastation and Evo to pool some information, what does that tell us about HDR’s tier list?

I know quite a few of us had a discussion prior to evo and we all seemed to agree that Boxer was top of the tier list. Is that now a general consensus?

I personally believe that after Evo, Boxer is unquestionably on top, and Ryu is on the bottom of upper-mid.

a bit off topic, but were they’re any guile players at evo? if so how well did they do?

Daigo played Guile.

Did not go well.

According to what Seth said on the stream, Daigo walked into EVO and started asking what had been changed in HDR. :lame: No practice at all?

Did he expect HDR was just ST with pretty new graphics?

Yea…its a game you can say you can beat Daigo in.
He did not look good.

Don’t blame him the guy plays SF mostly at the arcades, and there is no japanese version for HDR as it was rejected for Japanese release.

The guy was creative thou I’ve never seen anyone use the fake fb like that !

Yeah it didn’t sound like he did too good.

I know they didn’t have it in the arcade, but they didn’t even put it into a cabinet? Even the arcade in Antioch, TN 30 minutes away from my house, has a xbox/ps3 setup in a cabinet with a happ joysticks and a standard size screen.

Why didn’t the japanese give it a try?
