lol no he wasn’t. Everyone knows fei’s corner lockdown would make him toptier were it not for the fact that he has a hell of a time getting that close against most of the cast to begin with. Sirlin rightfully feared fei would be broken if he left him with the same corner rape game while making it easier for him to get in so he nerfed his close range effectiveness but it seems the problem is he nerfed him a bit too much.
It really says something when players would rather have a powerful character that gets raped by fb’s then a less powerful character who can get in fairly easily:rofl:

Okay, so then people realized he was good. I really don’t think that the learning curve makes a character lower or higher in the tiers. Rather, it’s their fullest potential.
No problem with that. Of course, I didn’t suggest giving him his old lockdown game back, either, if you read my earlier post.
So, how, exactly, is it easier for him to get in against fireballs now? And don’t say Lk Chicken Wing because that’s horseshit. You have to anticipate to safely Lk Chicken Wing through a fireball, and like I said in my earlier post, if you can anticipate a fireball from the close-up range that you would need to do an Lk Chicken Wing in order to not get swept/SRK’d, why not just do J.Hk / S.Hp xx Rekkas? It does more damage, rather than some 50/50 coin flip bullshit mindgame.
I know you read my previous post, but you should go back and read the other, longer post I made before berating my opinion.
Oh, and let me in on the kevgeez games if I’m around. If he’s good enough with Fei to convince me that he’s really up there in the tiers, I wanna see that.

Having short wing invincible on startup is better then nothing and it’s faster then any jumping attack by not having an arc it just goes straight through the fb to hit the opponent on recovery. I’m sure most people would agree short wing is harder to react to then any of fei’s jumping attacks.
You don’t even need to react to it. The entire move is so slow that unless you’re close enough to HIT them with the Chicken Wing, you can easily DP it or sweep Fei’s recovery. To hit someone with Chicken Wing, you have to be very close, and anticipate a fireball. And, as I already explained twice: If you have to anticipate a fireball at close range jsut to use chicken wing, why bother? If you anticipated a fireball, you’re gonna get some sort of free attack anyways - might as well make it a jump-in combo that does more damage and knocks down.

It’s probably frustration on his part because these tiers have been broken down from the beginning of the thread. So, given that this thread isn’t new, when someone comes in and posts information that’s contrary to what’s been discussed and agreed upon, the person posting has the burden of proof on them.
But…yeah…I highly disagree with Legend of Josh. Ken and Dee Jay…bottom tier?! You must not know how to play them. Tiers are not based on your experience (though it sure can color your pespective, trust me I know). They’re based on the character’s potential. If you want us to take you seriously, post up some proof. It’s theory fighter time.
Mainly because the poster gives no real arguments for believing that what has already agreed upon has changed.
For example, Ryu didn’t get a single nerf and his only change was the addition of a fake fireball move. But while in ST he was 4th highest tier out of 5, we’re supposed to believe that this upgrade puts him in the 2nd lowest out of 4?
Same with Deejay and Ken… they recieved nothing but upgrades.
Also Guile getting an overhead and a new flash kick = top tier?

Glad I actually had backup on that one rather then people bitching to me about what I had to say. I dont get the classic ST forum remark zoolander but its all good 
people who think gief is high tier obviously get hit by an spd once (or cr.rh) and then get “looped” into green hand, walk up, far lk, spd. or dont know how to anti air his splash. gief is bottom of middle tier.
guile is not top. top of the mid tier? definitely. not top. blanka isnt that low now either, hes also in the top of the middle (like a lot of the characters in this game).
hawk is not in the low tier anymore since he is ez mode autopilot now. hes smack in the middle, ive said it before and still stand by it.
DJ is incredible solid and id probably put him in high mid tier with chun and ryu.
honda is good no doubt but dies to fireballers bad still. just above hawk. ken is just below guile / blanka to me.
cammy and fei are the two worst in the game with fei probably being slightly better because of damage output.
top is sim rog and claw
sagat isnt as WOAH CRAZY as everyone says he is. middle tier status, bottom of high mid at best.

Why does everybody put Ken so low? He’s way better than he was in ST with the addition of the new Crazy Kick controls, invincible Strong Shoryuken and faster RH Tatsu. WAY better. I think ppl playing nuthing but noobish hordes of Ken day in and day out has affected their judgement of Ken’s potential. I would put him just below Ryu now, but in classic ST he would have been below Guile and Dictator.
DeeJay is good, but not as good as some ppl think he is. He still has his weaknesses: no good reversal for mid range meaties, Super that misses a hit from mid to max range and can be countered just like Honda’s Super, and he’s still a charge character, meaning he loses the fireball battles to non-charge characters with fireballs, same as Guile. In ST I would definitely place him above Guile, but now with Guile’s improved RH Somersault, Overhead and improved Super, they are neck-and-neck, with a slight edge to Dee Jay for the un-Tatsu-able Max Outs and better footsies.
I don’t know where to place Sagat, as he is still good, but haven’t played a really exceptional Sagat yet. His slower Shots really hurt him, which is what made O.Sagat such a pest. That, and the less damaging Uppercut really nerf any of the buffs he got in Remix.

Honestly i dont know how you guys can make a tier list so quickly.
I have yet to see any good comp online yet, compared to GGPO.
Its just noob after noob after noob.
My point is I still havent SEEN a great Dhalsim yet…only on GGPO and even there i think Vega gives me the hardest time.
I cant even suggest a tier list yet for HDr, without it being tainted with what i know in ST.
All the haters who are putting hawk in the bottom and not mid have played only scrubs. The End.

I actually like how Chun is middle tier makes me feel better when I beat all those top tier Boxers, Sims and Akuma’s Vega (claw) is another story and has been a hard match up for Chun for a long time.
