Makes sense. I live in canada so I wanted to know what goes through a normal person’s head when they keep guns around lol.
I’d carry but wouldn’t get into anything or act more “macho” just because of it. In these days, simply going to the movies has you checking rows to see if anyone fits “that profile”. I’m a family man, which means I have more to lose than most criminals that are doing these crimes. I will protect them at all cost no matter where i’m at (even if that means breaking a law to protect them; carrying that is).
I also DJ and coming out after a late night with a good amount of equipment and payment (which is mostly done in cash) its vital to keep something on you if a person comes up and ask, “why didn’t you play my Bieber son?”
Went to the ‘Crossroads of the West’ gun show in Costa Mesa, CA yesterday. The place was packed with lines everywhere. The ticket window was super short wait, but took me 20 minutes to walk to the end of the line to actually get inside. Another 20 minutes to get inside the show. Then there were lines to buy from the ammo vendors. According to a lot different people, it was taking at LEAST 3 hours to get the cashier and pick up ammo with a limit of 2000rds per caliber. There were also quite a few different news stations walking around. Of course they just interview the craziest looking bastards their to portray the rest of the community as lunatics, but hey, it’s the media right?
It made me regret not stocking up on ammo at the gun show in Del Mar a few months ago. I am definitely going to do my own reloads now. Just need to find the time/money/space to get this all started. Probably going to hit up a class type deal where they can show people how to properly do reloads.
I was thinking of going, but I knew it was going to be fubar. I have friend in the Central Valley and there is nothing up north, so I figured they would come on down.
Shopping for either a M1 or M1A… sigh Why are they so expensive?
Garand?? Those in good condition where always 1000+, and M1A standard where 1500. Most if not all .308 are expensive, IDK why though.
Check out PTR, they make G3 clones with the original G3 machines HnK used, or they assemble HnK G3 and restamp them. They where 980 starting last year around November, but good luck with that though, stupid as government and stupid panicky people may have made those rifles double in price.
Fuck I wish I had a bunch of ammo stockpiled. I need to get ahold of my dude back florida. Too bad them fedarallies are watching his ass.
You’re telling me, ammo has dried up like the Sahara Desert, and stuff that isn’t junk has shot up in price too. Gotta love it.
I’m going to hit up the Gun Store with RockB again this summer. They have a sniper rifle available and I really want to try that.

If you look at the pictures, that’s a Remmington 700 right? Trying to figure out exactly what it is, also first time with a rifle so looking for any advice. Rock mentionned a few things but I’m not sure if I will be prone or standing up.
Those shotgun wedding photos crack me up.
My newest firearm - Maverick 88 12 gauge, 5+1, standard 18.5" barrel
Got this for around $275 after taxes and fees. After the 10 day waiting period, I just picked this up from Turners. The Plano case that it is sitting in was about$50. This is mainly for “home defense”, but I bought a 28" barrel for trap shooting. The parts are pretty much interchangeable with Mossberg parts since they’re basically Mossbergs step child. Still waiting for my barrel to be shipped!
I was never really interested in firearms (I mainly preferred melee weapons), but as stupid as it sounds, after playing some first-person shooters, doing some research on war correspondents, and a friend telling me his mother takes him to a shooting range, I kinda want to learn how to use one though. There’s a gun shop in my area, though I highly doubt I’d ever buy anything from there.

[/quote]This right here has the potential to change the world like the Internet does. The fact that it can liberate us from corporations and more importantly government regulation is pretty cool marbles.
yahoo article, let’s not mention it was filibustered edition…
smh
Not good:
This wouldn’t be the first time legislation like this has come up.
That useless bitch Fienstien tried doing something like this in California iirc.
If they really want to curb firearm violence, they need to start educating people, you know, like they used to.
If there was some effort put into cleaning up the ghetto and giving kids a chance to escape that life gun violence would PLUMMET. Most of the gun control laws try to treat the entire nation the same way, where in rural communities EVERYONE owns guns and there is not a gun violence problem. Politicians always speak about the plight of the black community, but no one is doing shit to change the culture. Even if you took all the guns away, the murder rate would be still be really high, it would just be done with knives, hammers, wrenches and baseball bats. Having done outreach in inner city Little Rock, I can assure you that nearly every person we gave assistance to had been a victim of some type of violence in the last year. What these children need is education and opportunity, which would allow for real change to occur. Otherwise the cultural decay will continue and the violence will just get worse.
This legislation will appease the gun control crowd, but will do jack and shit for the average murder victim in Chicago.
This is a good read:

I kinda want to buy a Winchester 700 chambered for .270 Win for my friend as a wedding gift, but apparently I cannot do that since it’s defined as a “straw purchase” by the ATF? Anybody know?
