It’s a straw purchase because you can only gift guns to your child and or daughter. Because your friend isn’t going to be backgrounded checked by the ATF, there’s the risk of buying a weapon for somebody who shouldn’t have one.
What you can do is,
Buy the rifle, and then take your friend to the gunshop after a few days where you purchased it, and then pay for the proper documentation for name transfer.
But that’s how it’s done in california. You could also simply take him to him, buy for him, and have the documentation check him. Just make sure that you do not give him the money in front of the cashiers as they could get suspicious.
Hadn’t shot a gun since I was a kid before yesterday. Took shorty to the shooting range, good times. Shot a Rhino 38 special and a HK 9mm…the revolver was sweet as fuck. When I go home, I’m def getting one.
I tried the Rhino out but I didn’t like the trigger since it’s pulled up and at an angle it just felt really unnatural. I did like the recoil pushing the gun straight backwards and the fact that it did not have the muzzle flip that a normal revolver has. I heard they offer a trigger job through the manufacturer that gives the gun a much better trigger and shorter reset but I don’t want to drop that kind of money to just try it, I haven’t been able to find anyone who has one.
