The Green Lantern and all related Corps. Thread

Well I hit the jackpot and I’m currently reading the entire Green Lantern run to catch up on Blackest Night stuff, since DC is hyping it like nothing before.

Marvel Zombies the first one was good, as was the UFF parts. Anything after that is terrible from what I have read, nothing but trying to out do the last one. I’d rather see the Marvel Zombies universe just used as villains in various titles, hell even a major crossover event could work, seems to be the only thing going on these days is giant event after giant event.

^Off topic, but Marvel Zombies 3 is great IMO, have you read it?

So how will the future GL battles look like? Is it every other color corps against the Black Lanterns? Is it Green Blue and Star vs. Red Orange Yellow and Black? Is it Green Blue and Star vs. Red Orange Yellow vs. Black? All of these Lanterns are so confusing.

Red Lanturn Corps hate Sinestro Corps :nono: ( no pun intended )

The Red Lanterns hate everybody. They should just make them all fight each other. Who ever survives can form a new color team like the White Lantern Corps or the Fuchsia Lantern Corps.

Yellow vs.Violet & Red,Orange vs.Blue & Green vs.Black.In the coming months, the Yellow & Green will team up to take on the Black Lanterns. The dead members of the Sinestro Corps will be coming after Sinestro

When did the dibney’s, doctor light, and jean loring die?

jean didn’t die in identity. in fact, i don’t know when she died. dr light died in final crisis. ralph died in 52. only sue died in identity crisis

We should start a “Who’s side are you on?” thing involving the different Lantern Corps, just to give us something to hate on and brag about. SRK only flourishes when rivalry is present.

I got mine already

Feel free to start it. Or Tizoc, Pained, Taichi or whoever else knows a lot about GL and the different Lanterns. I’m more of a Marvel guy so I’m the wrong person to kick it off. I’d wind up taking the Green Lantern side only because of that Duck Dodgers episode… :wonder:

Nothing wrong with siding with the Green Lanterns mate, I mean they had a chipmunk AND a flying insect in their Corps, and BOTH kicked ass when they were alive.

Oh and at the end of GL 44
WTF

Spoiler

Did…Xanshi just become a Zombie Planet? That shit is crazeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

The Green Lanterns are cool, most likely where I would sit. Though I don’t know much about the Blue or Sapphire one’s.

Now to get me a spiffy new Avatar.

Fatality is going to be happy & pissed about that

Man I just picked up FINAL CRISIS Legion of 3 Worlds issue 5…i was really hopeing to see more of SODAM YAT…any info on them dropping a future monthly GREEN LANTEN comic that takes place in the LEGION timeline?

As long as a Terry Batman comic leads the wave I’d be interested, would be much better than Marvel’s 2099 that’s for damn sure.

So just finished up Ion #1-12, and I gotta say it was an enjoyable comic, despite it being just a bit hectic. Kyle Rayner was always my favorite of the Lanterns, I grew up on him really, and we share a lot in common.

Seeing his struggle, all the pressure put down on him, and how he keeps overcoming it until the breaking point was great. I felt sad when his mother passed, it’s something most people can relate to, and his struggle to find someone to confide in of the opposite sex. The use of his version of a Rogues Gallery was interesting, and I knew the first two, but I never knew Darkseid had a son like that so I was all “WTF?!” when I read it.

Overall I am enjoying the Green Lantern run, nothing so far has been a letdown, which in itself is an amazing feat. I think I am close to halfway through the series, almost caught up to go out and buy up Blackest Night like a rabid fan boy.

I just got a chance to read GL #44 a few days ago. I really enjoyed seeing Hal and Barry working together again, but I wish that the powers of the black ring would have been revealed already. Honestly, before reading the book I had no prior knowledge of Martian Manhunter, so I thought the invisibility thing was a result of the ring. Clearly, Johns is trying to prove how underrated J’onn was.

J’onn was always a powerhouse, he could mess up quite a few league members by himself. Just when the comics are dominated by the likes of Superman, Wonder Woman, and other more notable strong archetypes J’onn admirably filled the role of information gatherer and support member. Can’t imagine someone that already had a vast amount of powers being given a ring, that’s just messed up.

Skipping most of the Sinestro Corps stuff I have, since I already have the trade for that anyways. Now I got two, pretty much.

I have a funny feeling that the greatest Black Lantern will be:

DARKSEID OF APOKOLIPS—RISE!!!
